Sounds like a serious threat.

From my point of view it doesn't. On the one hand it's a very good way to earn some political points, on the other any partnership should be equal and that's a stumbling-block for the politicians. Nobody wants to lose the power. That's what happened when Russia-Belorussia union was created.

Ha.. well yes not surprisingly. Poland doesn't get along too well with them at the moment either, I have heard this on PF anyway. I think Slovaks are liked (maybe it's just for the skiing) : )



I would probably believe that percentage is true.. which is not bad statistically. I think you guys are moving in a good direction.. Putin is a guy you can talk to at least. Cautious optimism as they say.

you cannot figure one thing
people become nations after they "get" DNK haplogropus of Y chromozome...

you cannot mix one nation or group of nations with one haplogroup
what nation make nation is "perfect combination" of two or more kind of people with different haplogropus (in extreme: different behaviour, different customs...)

R1b is most common in Ireland and Portugal!! .... can you tell me one thing that make one irish and one portugese similar! except EU ;)

Slavic people has R1A the most, after that very common haplogroup is I (Slovakia, Croatia, Czech republic)

This is situation in serbia (R1a - ~20%, I - ~25%, E3b - ~30%, ...)
E3b is haplogroup that you can connect with old native people or Roman or Greek origin people (Iliyc, Roman, Tracian, Dacian, Greek, ...)
But R1A and I (all together almost 50%) is very usuall combination in "slavic" nations...

Btw firstly I thought you were Russian, since "osiol" (осел) is donkey in Russian.

The Irish once inhabited the Iberian peninsula. They were called Celtiberians. It used to be a theory but DNA tests have proven it. There is still a strong Celtic influence in the northern part of Iberia.
