Hi Gracie

Head to Bar Below on Marszalkowska or Bradleys in the Warsaw Towers building on Sienna, behind The Intercontinental. Both places run by Irish guys. Down side (maybe, maybe not) is that they are very sports orientated. I tend to stick to Polish bars like the wee cool ones behind Nowy Swiat, more of a clubby environment with alternative type folks (quite a few foreigners go there as well) and no SPORTS and no TELLY! Yippeee! Or try the real Polski experience by going to Amatorska or Bajka on Nowy Swiat. They are like stepping back to the 1950's and are fascinating. Think I'll pop down to Bajka right now!

finT...hhhmmmmmmm...not so sure.....single young girl walks into pub...likely reaction? Unless shes super confident and likes putting up with the alcoholic induced confidence of the men therein!

Just my 2.5 cents worth.....( inflation you know..:)...)

In general the Bradley's and Bar Below regulars are a decent friendly bunch and I think that a young lady would feel perfectly at ease in these places and meet some folk. The bars at the back of Nowy Swiat are also fantastically laid back and not the sort of places where sleazoids hang out, lots of girls go there on their own.

ive been to all of them with my polish friends and i agree the bars in Nowy Swiat are fantastic. There very unique. But i think its mostly polish business men in the irish bars. Whenever im there theres very few english and irish people there. Maybe i was there on the wrong nights (",)

Not in Nowy Swiat - I was talking about the ones Behind Nowy Swiat, on the right as you walk from Al Jerozolimskie.

They got a write up in 'inyourpocket' so the secret's out unfortunately. I noticed last weekend a new 'shot' bar has opened next to the orange bar.

Hey Gracie I am always up for a chat over coffee or tea. I am not into bars and clubs but more cafes and parks. I am a native speaker teaching here in Warsaw.

If you want to look further than this forum, then yes the pubs behind Nowy Swiat are your best, friendly atmosphere and cheap beer...Bradleys draws kind of an older crowd I think, more the business man/woman type...unless that's your type
