When we take just the magnitude of "Katyn", 22,000 + military being unarmed, shot with hands tied behind their head, where in history has there bee such a war crime on military and yet no one held accountable. This started before the Sept. 1, 1939 date and was a massacre of our military. Then for the people to be told by Communist Poland, do not speak of this, was nothing but cover up. Today 2008 President Putin still tries to change history. On this link we speak of Israelis, but it is more. Polish were to exterminated, not Jewish. We must bring to light all of the victims.

Everyone is entitled to their own religion, and ways. I live near one of the biggest melting pots in S. Cali, where Catholics, Christians, Orthodox Jews and Muslims all live peacefully together, with a few Indian Sikhs, and Hindus. People here cover for each other's major religious days, so all is good.

I see no reason why Poland would be any different.

Julie, this way of thinking may be normal for Polish Americans in the States, but it's impossible to comprehend for Polish living in Poland.
Look at the title of this thread: it implies that Jews are going to take over Poland, and it is a some sort of an emergency. What's funny is that this is happening at the same time when millions of Polish are living and working all over Europe, and they receive help and tolerance wherever they go.

Doesn't anyone realize that just 100 years ago Poland was as diverse as any nation in Europe? Just 70 years ago? When Julie describes Southern California, it might as well be Poland in 1923. It was a giant melting pot of people of different faiths, creeds, and nationalities. What happened is due to giant powers on either side, Poland went from being one of the most diverse countries to one of the most homogenized. It's a shame, but all the people who thought differently or were different from the approved list of people from both Germany and Russia were forced out, left on their own, or were killed. Poland not long ago was as diverse and tolerant as can be, why couldn't it become this way once again?

It seems that Poland form 1500 - 1939 is comming back.
