Food prices are up all over . We are turning a bit of corn here into alcohal. I am currently pricing the fourth plant in six months. We will build them and I just have that gut feeling these plants will close in a few years due run cost vs profit. Corn ethanol is not going to work and only does because of subsidy from US government. DO they have any ethanol palnts in Poland or Europe? How is this for random chat?

We have the wind farm debate here. It seems some of us are worried that the birds are going to get shredded. personally I don't think the birds are going to fly into a stationary , turning fan. Stupid birds! I would think jet engines eat more birds every day. Also they don't really look as bad as clouds of smoke from the energy plant down by the river. I am currently putting togehter my own . I took a decorative windmill and put a pulley on it to a 60 amp alternator and a marine battery. I t charges the battery and lights up the barn. As far as the debate goes, Biodiesel has a chance . Ethanol need s to be kept to the backyard stills of Kentucky.

Funnily enough the debate is the same in my town,we have a nature reserve where a rare bird called the nightjar lives, the nimby's trot out the same reason, these birds will fly into 300 foot + windmills, yeah, right,I have very rarely seen a bird fly slap into a tal building before :)

Well then the protesters can take these birds and put them in cages and put them into their homes for safety. There will always be someone protesting something. I should go out and protest Auto races or maybe horse racing. A race car could kill a rare mouse and A horse could stomp a gopher.

We had a 5.4 quake here in Indiana this morning. The house was vibrating for almost a minute. Do they have quakes in Poland?

See it is not worth complaining about. Just imagine if George Bush ran your country or the world . Now then you would have some complaining to do!
Also, good to see you on ...tornado

No more politics. It makes the start for a bad weekend. Now I know why the breweries do so well here. Politics is the reason . Or women ?

Fairmount is where my sister lives. 100 miles north of me. I have been to the festival. One can sit and drink and watch old vintage cars drive by all night long from all over the USA . I have a camper trailer I bring there for the event. They also have a competion for cars that can throw the flames out the rear pipes the furthest. My car is a 1947 chevrolet coupe currently under restoration.

Hey flames are not so bad when they are pooped out from the waste gates on a ferrari or Lotus Turbo. Nothing beats that look or sound especilly in a tunnel. Sounds like you have a valve guide problem with the frenchie o r maybe a burnt valve?

Only kidding, though flames coming outa the exhaust seems to have been about the only thing not wrong with it...took it for its annual service, the M O T, got a phone call an hour after I got home," hello,Mr X,er,sorry,we cant carry out the test today."
"why not?" i asked....
"because we have just spent the last hour trying to pop the bonnet(hood) but no luck..."
ooh how I laughed...not :)

Amazing how auto ownership differs there . Here it is important to have a truck, a car and and weekend car for special occasions. Oh, and a boat and camper too
