I stopped "partying" when I was 30 and I can tell you with all honesty, the last decade has been the best so far in my life!

Are you saying you're 40? No way! You look much too young.

Thank you, Shewolf. Actually I just turned 41. I guess I owe my youthful appearance to my mother and father (and probably the fact that I stopped partying so hard when I was 30---LOL.)

You found another way to have fun and that's great. Everybody has a different concept of fun. Does not have to be partying all the way to dawn.
One should never stop doing whatever is hidden in the word "fun".

No, that's just lust, not love, and it's not weird. It's actually quite common for younger people (and even the older ones, especially men. ) How old are you, David?

Oh, Sparky you need some sparks in your life. 29 is no age to give up on fun.

I haven't given up on fun. But I have turned my life over to God. I am trying to open a Rehab center for poor people in Memphis Tennesse. I like the feeling I get from helping people who can't help themselves. Besides most middle class white christians are afraid to help poor crackheads and hoorkers turn their life around. But I am not afraid of anything as long as I am doing Gods will. He will protect me even in death. So I fear nothing, and have been called by God to turn my old church in to a rehab shelter. The bad part is that it is in the worst neiborhood in Memphis. My plan is to help Addicts of any kind. I came up with a name I am going to call it Safehaven of Whitehaven. The part of the city is called Whitehaven. It used to be white when I was a kid. But now it is all black and really scary. I don't care about my selfish needs. I believe that If I do what god has asked me to do then he will give me the things that my heart desires. But I have to wait until Gods time. Believe me there is nothing more that I want than to be in love. But I can't take the heartbreak anymore. So I have stop looking for a women to make me happy. I have decided to do what God wants instead of what I want. Sorry about talking about god so much guys.

Just because he has given up going out to party all the time doesn't mean he's giving up on fun. I stopped "partying" when I was 30 and I can tell you with all honesty, the last decade has been the best so far in my life!

Thanks Ranj.
Besides all the barstool dreams I used to have. I have been doing now that I have all this time. You would be surprised how much time you waste partying. One night of fun and two days to recover. No thanks.

True.
But if you saw this neiborhood I bet you would change your mind.
You might want to be right with god in case they decided to kill your white ass.

Did it make you feel good about yourself?
Did you feel better for doing it?

Ive done it because there are people that need help, and it has nothing to do with how I feel, in reality it makes me sad

I'm sure it makes you feel sad that there is a need for aid in the first place, but I don't buy that you didn't feel good for helping out the less fortunate---not saying that's your motivation---it just shows you are a compassionate human being ("human" being the operative word) which means it would almost be impossible not to feel good about helping another human being.

Ahh, but if he believes in God, then the fact that he cares and acts upon it is representative of God's will, don't you think?

It makes you sad because you care. I think you are really nice for helping those people. Sometimes just feeding someone can make all the difference. You may not know it but you might have change someones life, and now they may be the one serving food to ones who need it. I think good deeds are contageous.

At one point I was living to drink and drinking to live. I hope that I never want to drink again.

Thanks for not thinking Gods will is lame.

I don't think anyones' personal beliefs are lame. I personally believe there is a God, and I attempt to lead a good life (not always successful, but nobody's perfect, right?) I respect the fact that some don't believe in a God, some do, and some just aren't sure. It is everyone's right to believe how they choose---I will not judge them one way or the other because there are two things I am sure of: There is a God and I'm not him!

That is a silly question!!!!

You might as well just ask do guys fall in love quickly?

My answer would be is to learn more about this guy. Does he know what he wants? What does he like about you? What is it about you that makes him feel so suddenly in love with you? Is he like that around other women?

Do your homework!!!! Learn more about this guy directly rather that having strangers psychologically analyze him!!!

It made me think how lucky I was to have all that I have and it made me angry that in this day and age people are living so poorly due to circumstances some times beyond their power and it made me sad because you know that in most cases they will die young and will never have what most consider a normal life.
