it's simply a case of sms going missing!!!!

Hi there, if your read my posting it explains why it's probably gone missing. It will turn up when the newtork feels fit to deliver it. Orange in the UK is good to send SMS to Poland because Orange have their own network in Poland. I had the same problem and it freaked me out.

Glad everything is ok between you both. Long distance relationships do need regular communication to keep them alive. Hope it continues.

PS Ignore Marek S because he struggles to deal with people actually being optimistic :o)

Thanks lonely!!!! I was just about to convince myself I was actually stalking him!!!lol - we only knew each other for a couple of months whilst he was working in the UK but grew really close - it's a nice, very happy and very comfortable friendship -

- we speak once a week and text regularly - it certainly works for us - it's just the odd blip that happens now and then!!

Are you content with that or would you like to develop it further ancilla?

Hi again lonely, I think he has feelings for me but I have to be realistic - I'm in the UK and he's in Poland - I can't expect anything to happen. I am staying with him in March and he has a big surprise for me (which could be anything) but I really am happy just to have such a lovely person as my friend. How are things with your girl lonely???

It doesnt, but I ancilla, when I need advice I speak to friends and family, not a complete forum :)

But as LIR has stated we are all different.

Things are very good Ancilla. She lives in Poland and I in Ireland but she is moving to Ireland on February 24th to live with me. We are absolutely crazy about each other.

-So do I ShelleyS - I simply come to the forum to ascertain the views of complete strangers - it's always an eye opener!

I was merely trying to point out that stalking is a serious behavioural problem amongst other psychlogical issues and in my opinion someone shouldn't be told they may be one unless you are qualified to do so. :(

If he didn't want her to contact him at all then he wouldn't be inviting her to stay and surely if you don't wish someone to stay in touch with you, then all they should do is say so ? People should be more honest with each other I think. We should all communicate in a way which expresses exactly what we think. Mixed messages confuse everyone lol........

right but how many people actually do that in real life.. not many. :(

stalking is basically anything beyond what one of the parties is willing to deal with.. constant txts and messages may not be exactly stalking but it is on the verge especially if the guy doesn't respond.. beside this girl talk to her 'friend' once a week.. i think waitng every moment for an answer from this guy is a little unhealthy..

so, now the cops have to be psychologists? you have to be kidding me.

So it's even harder to understand when a friend just suddenly goes silent.

it was all of a sudden or this is actually the pattern here?

When it's the latter, emotions come into play and not everyone thinks so sensibly at times. Maybe that's why ancilla needed to come on for a bit of advice. Hope things have or are working out for her there :)

right, and the advice was for her to lay off, no? because her behaviour could be construed as stalking, no?

ignorance is bliss, eh? he tends to tell it how it is.. you may not like it.. see the beginning of this line.

Calm down plk123 - his txts did arrive - all at once!!! For some reason, neither mine or his arrived at their destination - and neither of us are stalkers!!!!! We are both happy to talk once a week and sms during the week - it's what we're comfortable with. It was simply a case of six sms that went missing!!!

I am not a stalker!!!! Krzysztof thinks this comment is hilarious - he should know, as it's him you all seem to think I'm stalking - what a laugh!!!

Try email, usually a better form of communication and then maybe there wont be the confussion and upset you both seem to be suffering from - just an idea :)

p.s. - cant believe you told your friend you came on to a forum and told a load of randoms about your problems! did you tell him the title of your thread was - Is it worth it, is my Polish guy trying to avoid me???

I didn't choose the title unfortunately ShelleyS - that was changed by the moderators!!

Some people seem to take this all too seriously I'm afraid.

Ancilla, what happened to your boyfriend in England? Has he stopped sending you texts as well?

Really the post is poorly worded. Perhaps it is more acurately asked, "Should my Polish guy avoid me?"

A resounding yes! :)
