"eyewitness accounts"

Oh so now we are listening to "eye witnesses" on facts? PLEASE. I am not convinced of anything until it is proven true. These so called "eye witneses" can be exagerateing things. Point being people have brought forth questions and facts on the holocaust in places like germany and have been muzzled and thrown in jail for simply questioning the topic.

Tell my wife’s grandmother that who was in Majdanek (lublin) for 2 years and stood in a queue every morning, and THEN the German guard would walk behind them counting and when he tapped on their shoulder, depending on his mood, if they were lucky they were shot and then burned. If they were unlucky they were drowned in the cesspit or hung and then burned some still alive. These were Polish and Jewish people; there was no distinction once you were in there. Don’t you dare have the balls to come in here and hide behind some stupid name, and try to change history as most of small-minded idiots do. Have you ever visited a death camp and walked into the gas chambers and seen the green stains of gas in the walls, have you ever seen the scratches of human fingernails on the walls? Well I have and I am thankful it is there, because it reminds me that never again will we accept pathetic minorities like you.

Uk...I can only but echo your sentiments......however as we have seen even in Europe in the last 10 years, the instinct to destroy/commit genocide on your enemies etc......is still very strong...

We have to be vigilant.

This is me probably...

Frank, obviously there was anti-semitism in Poland, just like there is anti-Polonism in Ireland now... It's not possible to avoid such feelings, when there is a large unassimilated minority in some country.

If the holocaust really happened, and when she said yes it happened I asked her if she confirmed it with the Iranian government., and the former Grand Wizard of the KKK, as EuropeAwake taught me these are the best sources for Holocaust information.

Hahah... :-) Yeah, those are definitly trustful sources of information.

I don't agree...............there is not a general feeling of ill will or a feeling of superiorty towards our migrant EU guests......nor will we legislate against them....nor deny them!!

Yes there are a**holes........as in ALL societies.........am sure there are few anti Irish people in Poland.........but not a campaign or laws against them.

Feel free to apologise G.........:)

You should see young Jews on March of Living in Auschwitz. I am talking about their behavior. Their grandparents have told them that in Poland everybody is anti-semitic. So they come to Poland and when nobody acts like anti-semite they provoke young Poles by calling names, so they can return home and confirm that in Poland jews eaters are still living. True story.

why would you think that? Do you really think that people think like you in Poland.
I have many friends and family neighbours and I have never heard such a thing.
Grzegorz, not everybody is against other nationalities and people who are different.
A lot of Poles /Irish are just too busy enjoying their life and working to waste their energy on such thinking:)
I hope you will find a wolrd a little more friendly one day:)

This is an "intresting" video.. should give us some insight lol.. For those who don't understand Polish, this particular man doesn't like Jews too much.

This is not a proof for anti-semitism in Poland. He is simply frustrated. In polish slang to call somebody “jewish” also means not trustworthy. But you know what? People talking on streets like this all around the world. Even in USA. Another true story.

I didn't say it was, I just found this an intresting funny video. The view of one man cannot represent the one of a nation.

As far as the meaning of the word Jew (jew) I'm aware of it, but this particular man doesn't use it in that context.

Cheers.

I don’t know abort genesis of this saying, but I think people have had their reasons to start talking like this.

genesis

go figure indeed that Jews and Christians both subscribe to this book in there religions. The old testament of christians is the core basis of judaism.

So it can confound me sometimes to the divisions.

Come on... I wasn't saying about any general feelings... Simply there are many Poles in Ireland, so many more people don't like Poles than let's say 20 years ago when you could hardly find any in the whole country...

You "don't egislate against them" because you need them to do ****** jobs and because in 21th century that's rather impossible... In UK there's a party, which calls to kick Polish immigrants out (and in France a guy, who wanted to kick out all immigrants got into the final round of the presidential elections a few years ago) one serious economical crisis and they will get into the government.

But If they will make 10% of the whole population, won't assimilate for the next 100 years + serious economical problems the general attitude will change, no doubt about It...

I don't know how much % has Jewish heritage, such as a Jewish surname. But as far as religion it's less than 0,3% of the population

cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/pl.html

It's used to be much more before 2nd WW, after that those who survived moved to Israel/USA

Here in Cork there is one small Jewish synagoge but you'd miss it if you blinked.

They are but mainly because of historic reasons. Since they were there before the 2nd WW, lots of them aren't used or stay empty. Some are really nice architectural pieces of art.

But Poland is so catholic.. it's hard not to see a church..

Also, some communities abroad, such as Jews tend to live in close knitted comunities so you might only see the synagogues in you venture in certain Jewish neighbourhoods. :)
