With a name like Zgubiony it sounds as though you might have some Polish blood in you....If you can speak Polish , and have connections in Poland you will probably have an easier time than i did....Despite the difficulties , and the fact i got burgled , i have no regrets about moving here , and love Poland and its people.... If you find yourself in the Ostrowice area , do drop in for a coffee...you are welcome....

I don,t know much about that area of expertise , but if you are that clever , and you speak a little Polish then you should not have too much trouble to find some usefull work in Poland...Can i ask why you want to come to Poland , and what area of Poland do you want to go to...?

Poznan is a nice place...i spent a nice weekend there a few weeks back , and with a nice Polish lady too....If you got a girl in Poznan then what the hell are you waiting for , get ya ass in gear and get over here , you will be ok , and hell you can always go back if you want to.....If you get yourself sorted then i promise i will come down to Poznan and buy you a beer , and i will even come down on my Harley , so you get a taste of the good old USA....There is actually a Harley dealer in Poznan , so you won,t feel to homesick , you can hang around there in your free time and listen to the sound of America....Mobile phones are big stuff in Poland , as the land line system is so bloody expensive , many people have only mobiles....Go on...get on a plane and do it , you know it makes sense......

First, I need a work visa, no? I have a good job here so I want to be sure of everything before I end my career here in the US. I might be in POZ for the new year again though.

If you're looking for a telco in Poland try these:

http://www.elbud.gda.pl/?lang=EN&nodeid=30

They were advertising quite recently for English speakers to work all over Poland and I seriously considered getting in touch myself but I'm fed up with the telco business and want to go back to my first love of photography.

If anyone knows of any photography jobs in Poland then I'd be very grateful. LOL.

Sorry, I was actually posting that for Zgubiony as he is already in the telecom business and so probably has the experience and qualifications to apply. By all means apply as well but be aware that they will probably want some telecom experience to go with the English language skills.

Hi! to Wildrover,

I came upon this site by chance whilst looking for information about the Swinoucjie border crossing and thought that it would be interesting to make contact with a fellow Brit. ( I take it that you are?)
I am not looking for work but an interest in old bikes is perhaps one common theme. Also we have a small Guesthouse and would be pleased to entertain bikers from the UK as we have done before.

Why are brits looking for jobs in PLN? The currency is WAAAY better in the UK! Shouldnt that mean that you'd actually earn more in England?

Yea, it is what you make of it.

To me, Poland is definitely a beautiful country and culture. Some people can make good money there I hear. All depends on what you do I suppose.
