Hi,

I am looking for a Wallonian native speaker, preferably with a philology or linguistics background.
Experience in text editting will be a huge asset. Excellent job conditions. If you meet these initial requirements contact me via PM for details.

Why a Wallonian, not a Francais(e)?

Speaking as Flemish guy, I can assure you Wallonian is not a language. It is a collective definition for the French dialects spoken in Wallonia.

Wallon, Français, c'est du pareil au même, il y a juste l'accent (ou presque) qui change.

Wallonian, French, it's the same language, apart from the accent maybe.

;)

I am not disputing that, Sobieski. But we all agree that there is aat least something like Wallonian dialect or lingo or just version - whatever, right? And I am looking for such:)

Well, it's not exactly the same, is it? Do you know one?

Et quelques mots, come septante et nonante au lieu de soixante-dix et quatre-vingt-dix. Mais en general le wallon et le francais sont pareil.

And some words like sixty and ninety. But in general, wallonian and french are the same.

It's like asking for a native English speaker from Liverpool and not from London. Or a native German speaker from the north of Germany and not from the south. Or a native French speaker from Lille and not from Lyon. In other words, it makes no sense at all, I'm afraid.

Sorry, Olaf ... lived in both Wallonia (near Bastogne) and in France (Cognac). Speak the lingo, but no native speaker.

Well as I argued before, "Wallonian" is not a dialect. (Flemish neither for that matter). It is a common definition for a huge number of dialects. They differ even from village to village - which makes local culture even richer for that matter.
I am only mystified for what kind of job opening this could be relevant :)

In any way it must be excellent - maybe I'd push through the fact that s/he is not native (so could be e.g. French but living in the area of Wallonia, knowing all intricacies and so on).
I also have another one here: http://www.polishforums.com/jobs-offered-21/swiss-native-speaker-germa n-french-italian-swiss-needed-47183/
