I was told this might be a good place to find some help. I'll describe my requirements and expectations and if you've any questions please go ahead. I've previously tried an agency but find the agency workers are often devoid of a personality.

REQUIREMENTS

I live in West London, have my own business and often travel to Eastern Europe, this can be at a moments notice and is usually for a 2/3 day period, when I'm not away I work from home.

House: I have a large 3 bedroom garden apartment and require general household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing, walking the dog (you must be ok with dogs - its medium size & very friendly).

Admin: Trips to the bank, post office, taking/making the odd call, booking flights, organising my diary, buying groceries, waiting for deliveries etc

Not required but would be a bonus:

*Can drive
*Can speak moderate Russian
*Can occasionally knock up a meal

EXPECTATIONS

I would prefer live in although this is not really a full time position. I might require you all of one day and none of the next depending on circumstances. A double ensuite room with tv/internet is available. I'd try to keep you up to date with my schedule so you know when you are required other than that just keeping the house tidy etc. I probably wouldn't require you on weekends although I may need the odd one.

I would need references and I will research these thoroughly. We'd start with something like a 2 week trial and go from there.

Sorry to be so general with the duties but if you're a good organiser, have good English, don't find being flexible etc then get in touch.

Pay to be discussed, circa. £250 p.w. depending on experience with accommodation/meals/phone/internet & tube pass provided.

PM if interested.

Thanks

Hello,

I have just come across you advertisement somewhat late in the day, however the job offered appealed to me so I have decided to respond. Firstly I am not Polish but English.

Regarding your requirements:

I am an excellent cleaner and like to be clean and tidy but not anally so, I like animals and they seem to like me so all good there. Regarding the admin requirements I have done all of these things before and I am confident in my ability to fulfill them.
Not a keen driver I am afraid, no Russian but would be willing to have a pop, and knock up the odd meal. Firstly I have to tell you that I am not a young dolly( not that I am suggesting this is what you require). I am in my mid forties, but quite presentable and all faculty's intact, no ties, both my children have left home (one in London, one in Spain).

Why would I want to apply for this post. Well I lived in London for 20 years, and returned to the West Country as I have elderly relatives here, however discussing ailments 24/7 has lost its sheen. I recently returned to London Jan-June to work on a temp contract for a publisher in Old Street, and realised how much I missed it. I have had to return as I have a 95 year old grandmother currently in hospital who will need her care requirements organised. I will also be working on a freelance research project for a long term client over the next six weeks so I am tied up for the next couple of months.

I have to agree we are in the era of the non personality, did it all start when elf and safety started arresting people for playing conkers?

I am sure your main requirement in all this is a personality match vital if you have someone in your home, so I presume you need someone who is honest, trustworthy and not a pain in the ass. I am told my greatest asset is my ability to get on with people.

You have probably found someone suitable for yourself by now, and I wish you and them all the best if that is the case. But then again perhaps you are still looking, in which case I may as well throw my hat in the ring. Please feel free to call me for an informal chat on 01934-511976 if the post is still available.

Very Best Regards

Amanda
