Hello all,

I've been asked if I could find a teacher (native speaker of English) for a primary school for a school in Poznań. So - anyone interested? The details are as follows -

One year contract to start
Working hours - roughly 8am-1pm Monday-Friday
All classes taught alongside a Polish co-teacher
Salary : negotiable (hasn't been finalised yet - still working on the available budget).
Open to EU and non-EU citizens - the school will apply for a work permit if needs be.

In the first instance - could people send their CV (with a photo) to office@lindenia.net please? It would also be nice if you could include your salary expectations - but if you don't know what to ask for, it's not a problem - we can talk about it!

Qualifications and experience : it's not essential for the teacher to be formally qualified to teach children - but experience with children is a must. And yes, unlike most Polish schools, I will check the candidates history properly. So please - don't lie on your CV. But - we're looking for someone with a warm personality who will be able to have fun with children despite it being -20c outside.

Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail.

Or in the British style, let's say 3750-4250zl gross.

And of course if it's 8-1, it would leave time for in-company lessons later. Looks a good deal.

Indeed. I edited it - but it's very, very negotiable.

I think the only bad thing about this from the eyes of the teacher is that because it's umowa o prace that's offered, there will be a probationary period.

The other thing that I should mention - it will be teaching 6-7 year olds (first class).

Hmmm, well you already know my background. I don't know Poznan though.

I am looking for a job in this area as I have family from around Poznan.

I have worked with children before and recently (have a current CRB) and I am about to undertake a CELTA course next month so would be looking for a job after this.

Thanks for your time

Throw me your CV - I'll take a look :)

(but - just a word of warning - I will be checking people's background very, very carefully - so don't lie!)

(with a photo)

Why are you asking for a photo on a resume?

(just curious)

It's normal in Poland. I used to ask for CVs without a photo, but they still always sent them. Including sometimes photos of them wearing a wedding dress.

Photo on CV = discrimination.

That's my feeling - but they attach them anyway.
