Poles are fully allowed to work in France .They used to be a tax that an employer had to pay to employ a Pole ( Hungarian,Slovakian etc) but it was cancelled at least 4 years ago.

Many skiers would jump at the chance. Chalet staff get £50 per week.

What are the hours?

Well he didin't mention any ski passes, or access to the slopes. If it was such a good deal he would get the position filled by local skiers and not have to advertise in a polis forum.

If it is Val Thorens and self service, I am guessing it is on the piste.
What is the name of the chalet?
Does the contract include health insurance?
Val Thorens is the highest Ski resort in Europe and can get quite cold.
What about living conditions - do you provide or are you expected to find your own?
What is the pay per month?
Do you refund travel costs Poland to Val Thorens?

Ever been to a resort in the Alps? Most people working there these days aren't locals but people from Eastern and Southeastern Europe. People working in a hotel in Austria get ~1.200€ and work 12 hours a day... but at least they get a room (12qm) and food for free.

If you work in the resort you get a reasonably priced ski pass for the season.

You don't work in a ski resort for the money.

I dont think so, pay was about £70 per week 12 years ago. You also get half price drinks in local bars.

You get a seasonal pass not a reasonably priced one, thats part of the deal, a full ski pass to access all areas. Val Thorens being part of the three valleys also covers Meribel and Courchavel, its the largest lift accessible ski area in the world.

i did three ski seasons BTW, friggen awesome. Ive known guys that have done more than 10 back to back.

Cant say ive noticed that on recent holidays, although it is much harder to source the staff these days.

I don't think its increased, its in Euro's. Half priced drinks are still too expensive, chalet staff i spoke to could afford to go out in the resort.

Technically, Val Thorens is part of the four valleys, as there is a new quad down into the Maurienne Valley on the Italian border. There are also six ski resorts in the valleys and a glacier, the resorts are Courchevel ( 3 villages ), La Tania, Les Menuires, Méribel ,Saint Martin de Belleville and VT.
