Hi everybody!!
As said above in subject I'm looking for a job here in Poland which requires English,Italian,Greek or Albanian(I speak all of them but in Greek I have some problems with writing it :P)
I have been searching mostly in the transport&spedition companies here in Poland hoping to get a position as a Shipping Agent(Spedytor) but I had only 1 interview in Warsaw and then I was refused by the company because they thought that I speak fluent Polish(my Polish is słabo,I took a course for begginers and that's all I got)
Does anybody have any sugestions for me?
Thanks in advance!

Poles seem to have the need for comfort and not speaking Polish is a serious disadvantage. I wish you all the best but luck must be on your side.

Ah, in the same boat.

We say that 'finding a job is a job in itself' in Scotland. Have you tried Raben? They are a major company in the transport industry. One of my private students is quite an important person there. She might be able to point you in the right direction.

Plenty of Polish guys out there married to Polish woman also looking for a job, you’re not the only one.

So do Anglos, when was the last time you’ve seen someone landing a cushy job in a foreign land not knowing the local language? LOL Who said a life of an immigrant is going to be easy, most Poles experience it first hand in Anglo speaking countries on daily basis. No one’s ********, the roof or plumbing needs fixing.

So if "finding a job is a job itself" I'm very well experienced in it :P
I checked this Raben and looks quite "big" company and I will try to contact them.
Thank you very much!
Dziekuje bardzo :P

SHT, I agree. I didn't want to enter into comparisons. In today's hectic world, comfort is a much sought after commodity. I just see Poles, in this respect, as similar to Japanese in that they look for Polish language more than, for example, a Scandinavian might look to use their own language.

Bledi, please let me know how it goes. She may be able to suggest some openings to me. I'm teaching her at 8pm on Mon so could ask then as an ice-breaker to our lesson.

Don't make a career out of it tho, professional job hunter is not very lucrative position.

I know you meant well Sean, just couldn't resit it.

Bledi said it, not me. Resit? That's about exams ;)

If you want sth badly enough, you'll get it. Unfortunately, that sometimes means sth nasty ;)

To be honest I said it just ironically because it's been some time that I'm looking for a job and no results!
Keep well
