Have you seen the new ad of polish bank with great actor John Cleese (Monty Python)?. Type 'cleese' and 'wbk' in youtube to see it. I really, really enjoy it a lot ;). And the end is really killing me, enjoy!

It's not bad. I think that it unfortunately portrays the ignorance of Englishmen in differentiating foreign languages. The end kills u, it is typical John Cleese. Cleese was a talented actor but a bit of an arse in real life apparently

He is really good. He agreed to do this ad only when they (leo burnett poland imho) let him to interfare into script (but they did not say how much they paid him;p). it is going to be whole series, and this is first part. Hope next will be also good as this one.

Hotel Zacisze to Polish people. On those trays, uno dos tres Manuel thought. I loved it as a kid. I loved the anagrams at the start, Fawlty Towers became Flowery Twats.

The best anagram ever was Virginia Bottomley, I am an evil tory bigot. That was SUPER clever.

Basil the Rat if I remember. The Kipper and the Corpse was probably the best

No, I think the best one is where Basil goes completely crazy, and is in the hospital and says to the nurse: "My God, you're ugly!" haha, my favorite part of all Fawlty Tower episodes. I believe this episode is called The Germans, as there is a group of Germans staying at the hotel. Hilarity ensues.

But when John Cleese was writing for Monty Python, he usually did this with Graham Chapman. John Cleese, allegedly, would do all the hard work, while Graham Chapman would just sit there smoking his pipe. Then suddenly, he'd look up from his pipe and blurt out some random thing which would quite often go on to become the thing that made it really funny and that everyone remembers, even to this day.

There was controversy over this. People from Pcim, or however u write it, complained that it was somehow insulting to them that Cleese mentioned their village

Fawlty Towers ..... best comedy series ever !

It's one of the few comedy series one can watch over and over .... I never get tired of watching it ......... a classic where John Cleese is at his peak of hilarity :o)

The episodes are just as funny now as they were when they were first aired on tv !

'The Germans' has to be my favourite also .... especially when Basil is being tucked into hospital bed by the nurse ....

Basil : My God you're ugly!'
Nurse : I'd better call the doctor
Basil: You don't need a doctor, you need a plastic surgeon !

I think it sad when talented people take money for selling stuff.
It's even sadder when I realise I can't.

He was big in his time and it is harder for these people to find work later in life so they belittle themselves selling things. I certainly could not do such a silly thing myself.

What's wrong with selling things? Everyone needs a new direction at some point
