If any of you have time maybe you could answer a few Q's for a university study im undergoing??? Please (",)

1. Can anyone tell me anything you might know or may have been told about clothes rationing during or after WWII?
2. Where do you shop for clothes? (If you’re living in either the UK or Ireland your answers are still relevant).
3. What's the hourly wage in Poland?
4. And finally how much would a decent pair of jeans cost you in Poland?

Thanks again
Trish (",)

This is what one would get on hand
655.27 PLN
2117 PLN
I'm not sure I did calculations right but that's what I came up with.

That's my source (PL)

Thanks for the information Mr Kowalski, it seems that the tax rate is very high in Poland, which means little buying power for the Polish people., thanks

I know from a friend of mine, who has his own business, that to pay someone about 1500 a month in salary he would have to spend about 3000 total. You can imagine that we have large number of people working in so called shadow economy.
Good news is that our statistics about unemployment must be in fact lower, bad news is that many people will never get enough years of employment to get their pension plan working for them and are to be supported by family and social services in the future -I guess. (...) Still, things are in comparison as Confucius claimed so Poles are optimistic since it is ....better then before and the smell of money is mixed with despair, all in aura of The CHANCE ...(I'm lauging!)

social services in the future

What are the social services in Poland?

Isn't the age pension automatic once you reach pension age?

Will the EU force Poland to change its social security pensions in the future.

As I see it, not too many people receive 3000zl a month say 2000zl clear, thats only 500 zl a month, not much to enjoy the good life or be thinking of buying a house.

PS, I might add Mr Kowalski that your information about living in Poland is excellent and I treat it as Gospel. thanks
