I have made a lot of mistakes in the past, and God knows that I regret it. I'm trying to repare my faults and trying to became a better husband, I only need a chance to do it, please help me to revive that little flamme in your heart. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Chcialem Ci tylko powiedziec, ze Cie kocham. Jestes i zawsze bedziesz miloscia mojego zycia. Nie moge sobie wyobrazic zycia bez Ciebie lub z jakakolwiek inna osoba. Popelnilem wiele bledow w przeszlosci, i Bog wie, ze tego zaluje. Staram sie naprawic moje bledy i byc lepszym mezem, potrzebuje tylko szansy, aby to zrobic. Prosze pomoz mi [i don't understand this part - maybe it will be wskrzesic ten maly/mala plomien/iskre] w Twoim sercu. Chce spedzic reszte mojego zycia przy Tobie.

Sb - please correct me if my translation is wrong ;)

Not easy, but I've had a go! It isn't perfect, but it should be good enough for her to understand you ... i hope ...

Notes:
1. To show you which syllable to emphasise in words of more than one syllable, I've put that letter or letters in capitals.
2. The 'z' in 'ze' is like the soft z sound in English 'vision', or 'leisure'. I've represented it for you below with the French 'j'ai', because it sounds v similar.
That soft z occurs elsewhere, too, and I've shown it as a soft 'j', with an asterisk.
Eg, j*itcha = zycia
3. That 'Aow' I've shown at the end of 'cie' is like the 'ow' sound we make if we stub our toe...

boy, that was tricky ... just try and do it in a Polish accent rather than an English one!!!!! sorry - I can't communicate that in words for you ...... but GOOD LUCK!
oh, or I could record it for you and post it on an ftp site, but that would be way too difficult for my technological literacy!

Ok, that last part:

please help me to revive that little flamme in your heart.

it should be (more or less):

Proszę pomóż mi przywrócić ten mały płomień w Twoim sercu.

so all in all it will be:

Chciałem Ci tylko powiedzieć, że Cię kocham. Jesteś i zawsze będziesz miłością mojego życia. Nie mogę sobie wyobrazić życia bez Ciebie lub z jakąkolwiek inną osobą. Popełniłem wiele błędów w przeszłości, i Bóg wie, że tego żałuję. Staram się naprawić moje błędy i być lepszym mężem, potrzebuje tylko szansy, aby to uczynić. Proszę pomóż mi przywrócić ten mały płomień w Twoim sercu. Chcę spędzić resztę mojego życia przy Tobie.

btw, there is quite good online text reader so you can learn how to pronounce Polish words: http://say.expressivo.com/?lang=en

no no no!! it isn't AT ALL how THIS English person picks up pronunciation!! (ie, me)
i found it really bizarre to try to transliterate like that - was just doing it for the guy who has never spoken a Polish word in his life (or v few). in fact, it was impossible, because so many of the letters sound just different enough to make a really big difference.

My Polish learning was done in Poland, and then with my Polish husband, and then/now with a houseful of Polish lodgers who speak no English ... I learn pronunciation like music, by ear ... it's the only real way to do it (pillowtalk is the best method, i find ; )

It has been mostly the same for me until I started using the forum and then one or two very nice people in Poland with msn (still nothing to do with pillows though). Although I have always learnt music by ear.

I would suggest to blazer that something much shorter and more easily learnt would be a much better idea.

yes, i did think of that - but then i thought the effect of him stumbling through his heartfelt declaration in broken (if not unintelligible ; ) Polish might be very affecting for someone who loves him ...

He could also learn some short effective phrases and monikers, though, with which to smatter his conversations.
