Quoting: Kael
such as jadek and babcia

I think you meant "dziadek and babcia" smile -- dziadek (not "jadek") means grandfather.

Anyway, welcome to the Polish Forums Community! You can enjoy a warm weather at least...

The Polish culture is more than 1000 years old. If you ask (the rightsmile questions, there should be someone to help you.

Hi, there. It is very nice of you you are interested in your roots. If you have questions - ask. I will be checking this more often for a while.

You spell it: dzien dobry (there's a dash - accent - over 'n'). And it's "Good day".

Czesc is pronounced che-sh-ch (that's the closest I can make it using English spelling - in fact the last two sounds should be soft, Italian-like.
