Kazimierz Dolny

So, I will be attending a summer school of medievistics in Kazimierz Dolny in August. Can you tell me more about this town? Is it nice? Expensive? Any special things I can see while being there? Thank you in advance!

It's a beautiful little town. If you check the "Photos from Poland" post in this Vacations thread you will see a photo I took when I was last there.

It's no more expensive than any other Polish town. Although it is a tourist area it's mostly Polish tourists who visit so prices are not high.

The market square is small but very charming and there are many nice walks in and around the town.

Well, when you get bored, you can always visit Lublin, it's only about ~50km from Kazimierz. I make this distance by bike every summer, so it's not so far (but there are also buses which can take you to Lublin) :)

Prices are medium high (when comparing to Lublin for example, but like sb said before... Kazimierz it's rather tourists' town so that kind of prices are normal).

Oh, and there is also Naleczow, but I'm not sure if it will be interesting for you, for me it isn't... but I was there so many times so my opinion is subjective.
