my very dear polish friend is moving back to Poland next month - we have promised to keep in touch with each other - but his English isn't too good at the moment (getting better day by day) - I wonder whether not speaking English everyday with put him off keeping in touch??? Anhyone had any experience of this???

For the last month or so, I have been meaning to write to a friend in Poland.
I'll have to attempt writing in Polish because his English isn't great.
My Polish is fairly minimal too, but that's one thing the forum can help with.
I'm supposed to be visiting him and his family at the end of the year,
so if I don't get myself into gear, this won't happen.
Losing contact with people is too easy if you don't make the effort.

Hi Osiol, same for me too - I am supposed to be going to stay with Krzysztof in March and I'm really looking forward to visiting Poland - my Polish is minimal too but I keep trying to learn a new word or phrase everyday - dreading him going home really as people sometimes make promises they don't always intend to keep.
