Yeah, that's true. But they can afford it. If their pants or clothes have a hole in them, they throw it out. In Poland they will mend them.
If a TV breaks down, out to the dump it goes and get another one.
Sorry, its not a question of affording it, but pure economics, the cost of items are more expensive to get repaired than the cost of a new item, lets not make out that every american is just loaded with money and doesn't know what do do with it.
Get off your horse and take a walk downtown, the slums, ghettos and its not all that rosy.
I must admit that some of these poor people in these slums are more worse off than there counterparts in Poland.
