krusta (chrusta) ??

hey dudes!! i'm trying to find out about this mysterious dessert that my grandmother makes sometimes. it's deep fried pastry flakes, with powdered sugar on them. tricky to make right as they can burn very easy. she always calls them "krusta", which she said means "nothing". grandma likes to keep secrets so i dont know if this is true :S. help please :P

S far as I know chrusty means crusty/flaky becuase of the nature of this pastry.

Chrusciki? I've heard called Chrust.

ohh thanks! yeah sounds like it's chrust. leave it to grandma to spin the story on me! she's so damn secretive!

Ch is really like an h and the r is rolled a little so maybe it sounded like its krust.
