krusta (chrusta) ??

hey dudes!! i'm trying to find out about this mysterious dessert that my grandmother makes sometimes. it's deep fried pastry flakes, with powdered sugar on them. tricky to make right as they can burn very easy. she always calls them "krusta", which she said means "nothing". grandma likes to keep secrets so i dont know if this is true :S. help please :P

you are looking for chrusty/chru¶ciki/faworki recipe - check the food thread on PF.


S far as I know chrusty means crusty/flaky becuase of the nature of this pastry.

Ch is really like an h and the r is rolled a little so maybe it sounded like its krust.
