kupić is perfective so wczoraj, ja kupiłlem książkę-yesterday, I bought a book (once)
Do tej chwili, ja zawsze kupowałem książki-until the present time, I have always been buying books.

imperfective = activity (extended in time)
perfective = event aspect (the fact that the action is completed is relevant)

but you'll say:

Nie musisz kupować tej książki jeśli nie chcesz (you don't have to buy this book if you don't want to)

rather than:

Nie musisz kupić tej książki, jesli nie chcesz.

The first sounds more naturally.

Such sentence strongly implies "now":
Nie musisz kupić tej książki (teraz), jeśli nie chcesz (choć pewnie i tak będziesz ją potrzebował w przyszłości)

it is a conjugation of "kupić". as for kupowac, you don't conjugate it in present tense

KUPOWAĆ (past)

kupowałem/łam
kupowałeś/łaś
kupował/-a/-o
kupowaliśmy/łyśmy
kupowaliście/łyście
kupowali/ły

KUPIĆ (past)
kupiłem/łam
kupiłeś/łaś
kupił/-a/-o
kupiliśmy/łyśmy
kupiliście/łyście
kupili/ły

Now I'm lost :)
Are you saying that "kupuję" etc. ara forms of "kupić"? Of course they are NOT.
It's like Mufasa wrote ("kupować" in present tense)

"kupić" in future tense (since it's perfective, so it doesn't have present tense):
kupię
kupisz
kupi
kupimy
kupicie
kupią

If it's future tense, will it not stay in bezokolicnik but with bendę, itd in front?

ja bendę kupić
itd?

In this case, I think, it will be:

ja będę/ ty będziesz/ on/ona/ono będzie kupować
my będziemy/wy będziecie/ oni/one będą kupować

I can't answer why, but at least the rule is simple: perfective verbs form future tense by "normal" conjugation (kupię), imperfective with the auxiliary verb "być" (będę + kupować).

It's like asking why (in English) you make past tense of some verbs without the auxiliary ones (Did you buy/see/go ? etc., but Could you? Were you? etc., you can't say "Did you can?" nor "Did you be?")

does this mean that not all verbs have perfective/imperfective forms?
i think być will not, but what about the rest?

Honestly, I'm not sure :)
even "być" has an imperfective form ("bywać")

To dziecko jest urocze - To dziecko bywa czasami urocze (This kid is lovely - This kid can sometimes be lovely)

KUPIĆ - once or single time
past: kupiłem = I bought
present: none
future: kupię = I´ll buy

KUPOWAĆ - many times or extended period of time
past: kupowałem = I was buying
present: kupuję = I buy
future: będę kupować (no one-word form) = I´ll be buying
