Polish Tutor, how long have your instructors been teaching Polish?

Who are your most common clients? From what countries? What kinds of positions do these people hold in their jobs?

just curious....

Companies from:

first of all Germany,
Holland, UK, Israel

Position: top management. If a company invests in Poland
it sends here only managers.

Ale jak mówić po Polsku?
(maybe talking Polish/like a Pole does?)
Nie wolno tu pisać po Polsku, trzeba po angielsku sorki, takie są przepisy

i don't see why not. assuming you have a good internet connection, voices are clear, it can be a decent way to learn.

what is the avg. length of time these top managers stay in Poland before returning home?

In my experience, these people come to Poland for 1 to 3 years, and during that time, they speak English at work. because they speak English at work, they study English instead of Polish.

I run training company which delivers Polish lessons via Skype (and only via Skype)

I offer always a free trial lesson to present my method and I can tell you near 100 %
of my clients like it. Please do not tell them that they cannot learn via Skype (-:

The point is you cannot offer just chating (-:

You need a specific method. We do not any camera we are focused on writing an listening.
Skype in an excellent tool to practice Polish pronunciation and all bloody endings and than just speaking. I know what I say. I taught Polish to foreigners at universities in Poland an Germany.
But I heard on this forum many interesting things about learning Polish:
That it is better to start learning by oneself without any teacher,
that Polish is one big mess,
that you have to learn it 10 years and so on.
Let’s add to this list that Polish cannot be taught via Skype. This about Skype fits to this list.
That is why so many people do not believe they can learn via Skype but thanks God I can always find a few open-minded people who do not like to waste their time.

My grandmother always repeated I do not want to have mobile it is a stupid toy. You know something She bought lately a mobile phone (-:

You are right however rather 2-3 years shift not 1 year)
That is why the market is not very deep.

However when you can start to speak after 2/3 months you are happy with it anyway.
The point is the method.
If you want to sell chating via skype good luck (-:

Hey fuzzywicket are you goinig to set business competitive to mine?
I am not afraid I build my method many years. And I am damned good (-:

Hi Guys,

how long would it take to learn a bit of basic Polish? either using Skype or F2F?
Also what would one expect the costs to be?

Many thx,

these people don't stay very long. have you had any students that started from absolute zero, and achieved a B2 level or higher during their stay here? because they only stay for 2, maybe 3 years, i would guess you don't have much experience with more advanced students, no?
