Hi! I'm 17 years old Polish girl, who would like to learn French (I know only the basics). To be honest I'm not very talented with foreign languages, but if, despite this fact, anyone kind and patient enough to learn me have found- I would be really grateful. In return I could learn you some Polish- I'm not sure if I can do it, but promise to do my best ;)
Please, contact me: ania_sz05@wp.pl

Pozdrawiam serdecznie! :)

I'm learning french in my high school, so I'm able to understand simple sentences. Without google. I just want to learn more. French doesn't seem to be very difficult- still, as I have already said, I don't have many ligustic skills- perhaps because of scientific mind :)

It wasn't overly complicated for me to learn.

To be fair, French isnt that hard for us native english speakers ,maybe a little harder coming from a slavonic language background?
Films and TV shows are also a good way to keep up with French (or of course most languages :) ),but carefull what you watch,Ive been told in Lille that my limited French, honed from distant memories of dreadfully boring lessons in high school by gritty 90s movies, makes me sound like a thug from one of Paris' less classy suburbs :)

Fair point, isthatu2. The Academy Francaise went berserk as English stole and assimilated many pure French words. Although, like German, so many words are different, there is enough similarity in places. Slavonic languages identify with the vowel patterns of Latin-based languages and this makes it a bit easier. However, lending hasn't been on a large scale. Ananas is one word that springs to mind (pineapple). Asides from that, there are many differences.

Murzyn is another one.

Really? I didn't come across that one in my 4 years of French study. I know they say 'le negro' but, to my knowledge, it isn't used here at all.

If you want to learn French, I suggest you learn the words most often used in that language.

You might start with: "Je me rends"
