Last Name Jaszczur

My last name is Jaszczur, and i cant find another family with this last name. can i get some info on this last name and if there is anything special from it. ty

It could be another version of a different name. I have a friend whose last name was shortened to "Jaros" from "Jarosowycz" (not sure about spelling) But his dad can speak some Polish and he's always making fun of the kids in Polish and they don't know

is there a possibility that we are more than polish, bc i know right now we are 100% polish. i want to know if we had generations in the past in different countries. my family is around the Tarnow regian, south of poland, few hours from krakow.

There is always that possibility. Nobody kept track of those things way back when.

I've found a few families named Jaszczur, but not sure any are related. My father's family is currently living near Legnica, my grandmother relocated there from near Lwow in the 40's. I still have some relatives near the Ukraine border. Don't have any information going back further than that though.
