Is Polish language certificate necessary to get citizenship of Poland?

hi everyone...im from India and im married with Polish girl from 3 and half years...i have one kid and im living in Poland from 4 years..in 2013 i got my im permanent resident card for 10 years..this coming July im going to apply for Polish citizenship in Wojewoda.i just have one question about this that do i need polish language certificate to get polish citizenship or i can apply with polish language certificate...please if someone knows about this please write me here..i will be very thankful...thanks in advance...

Yes. Among other necessary stuff.

You need to do the state exam (and get a sufficient grade) as well as a certain length's time residing there on the same legal basis as well as other supporting factors. That's just one of the ways - there are more than one.

If you have a ten year residence permit though, why do you need citizenship so soon? Maybe better to wait a while, practise the language (the exam is not an easy one) and it will be a simpler matter.

I think that nowadays the test can be done at a number of private institutions also? I could be wrong about this though.

Yes, I think you can do the language test at private places although the exam is still the official one. A bit like doing FCE at a privately owned school that's accredited as an exam centre.

Anyone know when the state commission is going to start polish language test at A1 level ?
From where i can get the idea of sample tests / examples of polish language state exam at A1 level ?
What book / material is available for the preparation for A1 level exam ?
