Foreigner Driving Polish registered Car in Poland - is it Legal?!

Hello everyone,
I am from Cyprus and have Cypriot driving license (EU license). We just started changing our driving license into plastic
(like in Poland) but since I didnt have time to change it, I still have my old flopping paper.
My question is:

Can I drive my girlfriend's car which is registered on her, in Poland?
In other words, if the police stops me, can I say "this is my gf's car, here are the car documents, and this is my License"?

or do I need some kind of permission?

Does she has to be with me? Or will they call her to check up?
And what hours can I go to straz miejska to pay? Is it 24/7?

Parking Ticket. I was parked outside my block, but there was no signs or double line.
Either way, I ve read from this forum that it could be 30-100 zl.
I wasnt parked near any ticket machine or something.

no you just have to carry 'dowód rejestracyjny' registration document and the insurance policy confirmation (even in someone steals a car there is a very low chance they will get hold of the 'dowód rejestracyjny' because drivers usually carry it with themselves and not leave it in the vehicle)

the girlfriend doesn't need to be in the car with you, they will only check with your girlfriend if they suspect the car is stolen which is not very probable if you have the 'dowód rejestracyjny' with you)

I don't know about Straź Miejska to be honest - but I suspect their offices don't work like the police i.e. 24/7 - what do you need straż miejska for?

The ticket says on it "straz miejska ii oddzial terenowy" I figured thats the place I had to go.
Is there a more convenient place to pay? I live in Kabaty and all the straz miejska are far from here.

If they told you to go and see them, take a Polish speaker along with you. Plead ignorance, tell them how sorry you are, and smile. This has worked twice for me.

I have tried.... the guy was the same one that gave me the fine B/
As well he could speak english. It took him 2 min to draw the map road
with the signs. Tell me how much it costs and why I was wrong.

He wrote down my driving license number and everything, but I doubt
I ll get any points from it.

That's too bad, Andreas, but it was worth a try. In the city where I work the Straż Miejska are keen as mustard. It's better to drive around until you find a parking space you are absolutely sure about. Szerokiej drogi!
