Leaving and entering Poland with a temporary residency permit.

I'm a South African married to a Pole and I'm planning a holiday to my home country. I have a temporary residency permit to live in Poland, but I'd like to know if there are any requirements when I return from SA in order to enter Poland again.
Do I need a specific amount of months validity on my permit in order to return?
Any info would be much appreciated!

PS: I may sound a bit paranoid, but South Africans are often given a hard time when entering and leaving Europe due to visa regulations ect.

I don't know specific rules but I would say you could travel as many times as you want until your visa expire.

hi vaneck,

i travel on one of those as well, and i have no problem travelling in and out all the time, as long as the expiry date is fine, then your right to come and go. Just remember that you need a good month to apply for a new one before the existing one expires. Not the quickiest in that government dept.

zion count your blessings...I only got mine for one year so I have to pay 400zl for half as much time as you and have to reapply again soon. The anti-corruption division needs to get inside the Polish immigration system.

I am sure it is a common way to get more money into the bureaucracy.

Yeah at this point were it not for the fact I love my wife to be more than anything I would not be in this place.

As soon as she wraps some things up here we are gone! Greg and his patriots can have this place. No loss to me.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated!
I'm so excited about my upcoming holiday, but wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to face any problems coming back to Polska....never mind having to deal with suspicious customs officials..lol...

Actually you (or the Polish economy) will lose the money I spend in Poland that I earn from outside of Poland. So technically you are WRONG...again.

Again I will say...if all expats left Poland and all foreign investment left you would not be so smug then as you would be about as prosperous as mud.

Whatever you spend will not be enough to make up for your presence in Poland. That is of course if you earn any money at all from outside Poland. If you earned decent cash you wouldn't be wasting your time scratching round the schools here trying to pick up lessons at any pittance of an hourly rate. Most likely you mean that you spend here the money that your mommy and daddy send you.

vaneck: as long as your TRC is valid and you have enough time on it to apply for another one, you'll have no problems at all at immigration.

WOW again you create things...I never scratched around any schools. Any teaching I did/do was private as I was bored when I am on a break from work (you see not everyone works 8-5 in an office)

Mom and Dad are dead...thanks...and didn't leave much at all due to extensive medical expenses that the whole family contributed to. Don't you feel like a big guy now. In fact dragging my parents into it is the first thing you have said on this website that I actually was bothered by...what a great guy you must be...probably kick puppies too.

At least I know I really am dealing with as much of a piece of trash as I imagined.
