liehajci = Lichacze?

From a search of Ellis island records one of my ancestors was shown to be from Liehajci Russia. Well, could not find anything with this town name. I suspect that this is a phonetic spelling of a non-polish speaking recorder. So, opinions liehajci = Lichacze? (near Przemysl)

It's possible that these names show the same place.. But there could also be other variations of the name...
