Why not get implants?

i've already seen a few dentists and a bridge is the better solution after much debate.
Skrud, isn't Canada rather expensive compared to Poland ?

In what way can a bridge be better?! With a bridge you sacrifice at least two healthy teeth as abutment teeth. The only reason for going down the bridge route is cost. Here in Warsaw a very good dentist will charge you about 2,500zl per implant and then about 1,500zl for the crown to go on the implant (about 2,800 for a two-tooth crown and about 4,000 for a three-tooth unit). You can find places in Poland which are cheaper (some as low as 1,300zl per implant) but do you really want to be scrimping on what is an important procedure. Yes, sometime there isn't enough bone for implants, but you can get a bone graft done for under a thousand zloty.

I really would suggest having a think about implants in place of a bridge, they aren't that much more expensive but they are a lot better.

about 4,000 for a three-tooth unit)

Having a jar with a pal of mine, I complained that last week I paid 450PLN to have a broken crown replaced. I felt a bit better when he told me he'd recently paid 4500 for bridgework in Sopot.

No, but I have just had several implants hammered in and a bone graft done (after years of not getting a bridge done, mainly because a good friend of mine from years back who is a dentist advised me not to get one). Two of the implants are replacing badly done crowns.

The total bill for my work is going to start with a 2.

Not 20k, surely. You'll have to post a photo of your smile after all that.

If you want a personal recommendation - dentopolis-poznan.pl/en - in PoznaƄ comes well recommended by me.

Harry, how's the pain?

there are tens of thousands of dentists in Poland so how the hell can we say X or Y is the best or the worst? ;).

I personally go to Euro-Dental. Although more expensive, they are worth it and most important to me, they use (at extra cost) nitrus oxyde gaz so no pain :) - Crowns cost from 780 to some 1,800.
