Drinking before clubbing in Poland?

So I meet these 2 polish girls here in oz, and they're visiting for a few weeks. I think "great", I can network with some real europeans. Im to take them out clubbing soonish with a friend. The unconfirmed plan is for us to pickem up from where they're staying and leave car at my place and bus it to the city. My friend suggested "poł litra" before we start the night. I got no idea if thats a good idea, whad'ya think? they're dziewczęta after all.

a) They are Polish: they will drink you under the table.
b) Half a litre between four people is about the same as two glasses of wine each.

It sounds that those

dziewczęta

have pretty nasty habit.
I heard of this of course, but wouldn't it be nicer to have a drink once you get to the bar/club?
If the two girls drink half a litre together you'd end up dragging two drunken female carcasses instead of girls. Or maybe they are some special breed? ;)

You mean 'Polish'?

Of course, if they're from the mountains, our OP is really fuccked: those people can seriously drink!

50 cl vodka for 4 persons is 12,5 cl per person. It is about 2 "typical european" beers (50 cl with 5-6% alc.)
It is not much if you drink it over 1-2 hours, not even for a girl.

If the two girls drink half a litre together

As I understand it, they are 4 persons sharing half a liter of vodka. It is not much.

However, 2 girls sharing 50 cl of vodka before going to club is probably not a good idea.

I'm sure that's also going to happen. Nothing wrong with a heart starter to get you in the mood. Have fun.

Provided that the friend is the fourth person not third (one of the girls maybe).

Easy to drink me under the table, thats why im not sure about it. Also is it polite?impolite?expected?norm? to offer vodka before heading out.

Only benefit is it will relax everyone, and lubricate (i know silly choice of words) getting to know each other.

In Poland, people usually drink sth before going to the club.

Often at a small "before-party". Partly because it is much cheaper than bying alcohol in the club. And partly because it gets you "in the right mood for clubbing".

Ask the girls if they want to come for a little before-party, and drink a little vodka or a few beers.
If you dont like the idea with vodka, just get together, and take a beer before going to the club.

That's a novelty! Maybe it's popular among students? If so, why then go out to any club at all if you decide to drink at home?

So that's normal. It gives you a better mood before the club and saves you money. At least they didn't pop an ecstasy pill.

Olaf are you from another planet? People the world over drink before clubbing because people like to drink and drinks are expensive in nightclubs.

Drinking before clubbing is definitely a good idea as it's much cheaper. It's very popular in Scotland, more so than here I'd say.

Drinking before clubbing?

It's probably a better idea to arrive to the club sober. If you end up plastered at the club, take a taxi cab back to your place.

drinking before hand is fine and 2 beers/wines isn't much at all even for non polish before leaving the house infact maybe even normal...as long as it's not the driver.

Mixed reviews:

4 for not drinking
7 for drinking

Updating the facts; there are now 5 people all up, so effectively its 100ml each, which is like 2 shots each. I dont want to get them drunk but I do want to show them a nice time clubbing, and the Australian nightlife in Brisbane. Or at least some similar imitation as it is Brisbane after all.

You don't know them very well. They might become mistrustful when they see that you are trying to get them drunk. If you want to save on booze, go to a bar first, tell them you want to talk before it's too laud (start them on beer), and then go to the club (and stick to beer).

I personally wouldn't feel confident with a bunch of guys who I barely know who start off with strong liquor.

so you have to get wrecked on the deck? a couple of drinks won't break your budget and you'll remember everything... :)
