The main view point has become that It is o.k. to be a racist.

What?

How can it be OK to be racist?

That's like saying "it's ok to pretend to be a teenage girl online when you're actually a fat middle-aged American man"

I don't have the luxury to edit any other way so............

(Why do racists always put 'ect.'?)

Because there is more however they hope you get the jest of it with what has been printed.
I'm always in to much of a hurry. lol

Just look at London and what socialism and immigration has done to it.
Poland wants no part of that thank you.

stop being so silly and uninformed about history.
London has always been an international city since the 1600s. Britain was then an imperial power. That is why there have been so many immigrants to London.

At that time, the British government also invented 'the States'.
Is that why you are being so rude? cos Britain invented you?
you cannot compare any of this with Poland, as that country never had an empire.
We are all racist on some level btw.
Tori it is 'etc' not 'ect' just saying.

the British government also invented 'the States'.

LOL- No, the United States invented the British culture of today.
Maybe that is why you Brits are the jealous racist you are.
The polish racist wants no part of the mess Britain is in with it's immigrants.
Keep Poland Polish !

you dont even have your own language ..:)
you are the one shouting about how it is OK to be racist....I am just realistic.
Just think without the British government you wouldnt even exist. I think you know that.
you people are sad tbh.
Do you plan to go to Poland for a nice vacation any time?
Tori
19 Aug 2015 #636
Oh Rosy you are just to much sometimes.

Tori it is 'etc' not 'ect' just saying.

See, we do have our own language because it is ect. in the United States. lol
You are not being realistic, you're being an off the wall racist.
No, we sent the British home in their knee high knickers after spanking them good.
We then created the Great United States of America with zero help from Britain. I think you know that.
The United States had no tolerance for British law......OMG we were RACISTS!
The Polish people see how constructive racism works and they want no part of Britain's failing economy and immigration problems with the Muslims.
Poland may send the Brits packin' too when your economy collapses.
They want to keep Poland Polish and if they are forced to be racist to keep Poland Polish they will.
It is not a bad thing to be intolerant to a undesirable religion that want to kill you because you don't believe as they do or teach your children undesirable sex acts with the same sex as being a "natural thing".

Polish people are intolerant to all that crap and stand strong against it and if you Liberals want to tag the name "Racist" for doing that then we are very proud to be called Racists.

Now that your condescending words Racist, Homophobic, Bigot and ECT.
are no longer belittling and now meaningless, what are you going to come up with next?
How about "uncivilized"? lol

See, we do have our own language because it is ect. in the United States. lol

etc comes from "et cetera", which is Latin. It most certainly isn't "ect" in the US.

They want to keep Poland Polish and if they are forced to be racist to keep Poland Polish they will.

Yawn. No they don't and no they won't

Yeah it is Delph, as a slang for "et cetera" or etc.

We are all racist on some level btw.

Yes we all are, including the Polish. The Brits are the worst by far though. :-)

ect

Perhaps he/she meant echt in a kind of Thirties kitsch way.

Whatever he/she meant, this thread could give a very misleading impression of Poland to a prospective visitor. And the sad thing is that the racist comments come largely from people who either live a long way away or have never set foot in Poland.

the racist comments come largely from people who either live a long way away or have never set foot in Poland.

How about Malopolanin (Polish) "Nazis are less intelligent than Black Africans".
Haylel (Polish) "I don't want Islam in Poland".
Delph (Polish) "you're actually a fat middle-aged American man"
jon (Turk) hates Christians
Rose (Brit) you people are sad tbh.
Geez jon, how can you make such a statement like that when just the opposite is throughout this whole thread.
Go back and start reading it again.

Can anyone explain in what way was my comment racist?
delphiandomine 88 | 18,131
19 Aug 2015 #644
Yeah it is Delph, as a slang for "et cetera" or etc.

It's simply wrong. It's not in Webster's, nor is it found in any other credible English dictionary.

Anyway, we should stress that the worst racism is found among people with no connection to Poland.
johnny reb 48 | 7,139
20 Aug 2015 #645
Oh Delph you old home wrecker what do you know.
Most slang isn't.
No, we should stress what rozumiemnic stated.

We are all racist on some level btw.

That includes Polish people Delph.
The worst justifiable racism comes from people standing their ground called Polish patriots.
It's commendable to be a racist, bigot and homophobic if it is in the name of righteousness.
Racists aren't bullied by the Liberals political correctness.
They stand their ground for what is right and refuse to have crap forced upon them called Progressive thinking.
Poles know right from wrong and won't be bullied by being called names like Racist, Homophobic or Bigots by these Liberals.
Ya'll come down ta Mississippi (where we still fly the Confederate flag over our capital) and we'll be happy to teach you about racism.

Shove your name calling and git with it.
(Hey Delph, is "git" in the dictionary ?) lol

we should stress what rozumiemnic stated.

that is v sweet of you JR, but I think you might have misunderstood me.
I wasn't saying it to justify what is happening in eg Ferguson but rather to point out to knee jerk liberals that they probably have their own entrenched ideas to deal with and might want to look at those first before shouting about 'racism' to others.
johnny reb 48 | 7,139

I wasn't saying it to justify what is happening in eg Ferguson

Oh I agree as I don't try to justify what has happened in London.

That is why there have been so many immigrants to London.

Did you know that the #1 male baby's name in the UK in 2015 is Muhammad spelled in various ways such as Muhammed.
What does that tell you ?
The Polish people see what happens with trying to "tolerate" so many immigrants.
Can you blame the Polish for not wanting this to happen in Poland ?
That doesn't make the Polish people racists just because they want to keep Poland Polish and not have it turned into a Muslim
country like the UK is heading for.

Poles are not different in this, not better nor worse as individuals but much better as a nation than some.

This thread is full of ignorance. I do not think Polish people have more racists than any other ethnic group. I do however thinks Poles are at a higher risk for being targeted with racial bias by racists in general

I think that "racism" in its true sense is the most primitive form of human judgment possible. Ethnocentrism is not much different than racism however it has more complicated political and economic influences so IMO is not as primitive as racism.

@Allison
Polish people are very patriotic.
Don't confuse a patriot with a racist.
They are not at "risk" of anything more then seeing what has happened to their neighbor countries. (The UK, Sweden, France)
The race card is being used to disguise a real problem of other countries culture being destroyed with a spreading cancer.
The Polish people see this first hand so what "ignorance" are you talking about ?
The only "risk" is that the facts speak louder then words, words like "racist".

All civilizations are eventually replaced or superseded...look at history. It's not a cancer, just a fact of life. What I was saying though is that Poles are one ethnic group that are more likely to be discriminated against for this reason.

@Alison
"Eventually" is the key word here. If we can delay it for several hundred of years, lets go for it. Whatever the cost. If "eventually" Poland will going the the way of the dodo, I don't want it to be the fault of my generation.

This much is true.

What I was saying though is that Poles are one ethnic group that are more likely to be discriminated against for this reason.

I'm not sure about that one 'Allison', I don't think it will make much difference in the long run.

Ethnocentrism is not much different than racism however it has more complicated political and economic influences so IMO is not as primitive as racism.

Spot on. A lot of people in Poland (and this has rightly or wrongly or neutrally formed the national mythos) are happily ethnocentric due to magic events in history. That and being geographically hemmed in by other groups and changing borders. That isn't racism, nor does it help to reduce racism.

Three are the biggest factors influencing the polish society in this subject (and I don't say they're deficiencies of my country, just facts):

- rather homogeneous demography, possibly due to the low salaries in the most menial jobs that don't attract many labors from other countries
- polish nationalism and trend towards right winged politics and catholic conservationism (+ hooliganism); that doesn't mean directly racism at all, it could arise to racism in the most uneducated and angry parts of the society

- even big cities like Warsaw have a demographic strongly made by villagers that commute to the big city and for the most they bring their rural culture

Are you even from Poland? You sound like a right twat.
There are about 500 000 Ukrainians, about 80 000 Vietnamese, and some others nationalities incuding Armenians, Nigerians, Arabs and so forth. You are right in that threre not that memany people of colour but that hardly racism or some other made up nonsense.

nationalism and trend towards right winged politics and catholic conservationism (+ hooliganism);

Let me make it clear. You are listing that in the thread about racism to say at the same time that the very thing u have listed has little to do with racism. Why did u write it in the at all?

To make it clear to readers who know nothing about Poland.....there are no connection whatsoever between conservatism, national patriotic movment, Catholic church and racism.

Those connection arexist only in the minds of strange people, I would call them a new breed of communists from the West. In fact they are twats.

demographic strongly made by villagers that commute to the big city and for the most they bring their rural culture

What issue do u have with village? At least 80 percent of people in
Poland have one or two granparents from rural areas. Do not forget where your legs grow from! Also improve u English.
There is nothing wrong with rural areas .lm from rural area myself and proud of it, we farmer and small businessess are what keep this country working not some twats from offices or other labourers for hire, too big for their shoes they are and ashemed of their folk.and grandparents.

Are you saying that Poles are more racist than Western Europeans?
InPolska 9 | 1,812

@Wulkan: of course, Poles (and all areas East of former West Germany) are racist and it's well known everywhere. In Western countries, people are used to live with other nationalities and people who are different. In the West, mixed couples are for instance no big deal. I heard not long ago the number of nationalities to be found for instance in London and in New York and even if I don't remember exactly, I was really amazed.

Pure common sense that people grow up in closed societies have very closed minds. I have of course tons of examples but just one that I had a few days ago. A Russian client of mine just left for the US to spend a few months for her job and I happen to have lived in that US area and when we spoke about it to eath other, her first comment was "it's full of .... blacks" ;). I know Russians are worse than Poles but ....

On my fingers of only one hand, I can count the Poles I know who are not racist, not antisemitic, not homophobic.... Personally I would love to meet more of them, if any....

You guys are shocked when foreigners tell you that you are racists but aren't you racists? ;)

Racism comes from ignorance and also low self esteem.

Nevertheless racist Poles don't mind Western Europe's salaries and conditions.

I'm Swedish, would you like me to confirm most of the fears "racist poles" on here have?

Merged: Racism in Poland

hi Guys,

I am Indian and planning to move to Poland and I am worried about racism.

after I got the offer I was reading on multiple forums and I found the polish people are racist to different color people. is it really true? racism is every, what matters is how much?

There are some illiterate, old people everywhere who is racist to outsiders. I would like to know the amount of these people in Poland. I don't want to face racism comment every day at work or at market place.

certainly i would not like if in public area people don't want to seat near me or don't want to serve a food.
