hague1cmaeron 14 | 1,368 27 May 2010 #1Hi All. Just wandering about the amount of Poles of foreign extraction that reside in the country. Since i don't live in the country myself, i would like to get predictions from those that do or have a reasonably good idea.So the following totals please.Brits?:Germans (not those that have been here since WWII)?:Irish?:Americans?:Australians?:And any other nationality you can think of:)And if you could make a future estimate, that would be interesting as well, say up to the year 2025.

ShawnH 8 | 1,491 27 May 2010 #6You are right. I misunderstood. There must be some results of a recent Polish Census available, no?
OP hague1cmaeron 14 | 1,368 27 May 2010 #7I've tried looking and have not been able to find anything.
OP hague1cmaeron 14 | 1,368 27 May 2010 #9i found only some statistics from 2009...Interesting, although that is not a lot of info. According to that the highest number of registered working foreigners in Poland are from the Ukraine, 3500. Does not sound terribly accurate in terms overall population though.
SeanBM 35 | 5,797 27 May 2010 #10Brits?: 0.00Germans (not those that have been here since WWII)?: 0.00Irish?: 1.00 :)Americans?: 0.00Australians?: 0.00And any other nationality you can think of: 0.00Unless this is some kind of law of averages prediction table, it is pointless, as for someone to give you even a guess for the whole of Poland, they would have to know all of Poland or at least every major city.
olito 6 | 53 27 May 2010 #11And any other nationality you can think of:)According to the Mexican Embassy in Warsaw, we are more or less 200 Mexicans in Poland, the majority concentrated in Warsaw and Kraków. In Wrocław we are less than 20. The majority because of having a Polish husband/wife and just a few students. The weather, language and low salaries seem to be a good "demotivator" to migrate here by free will.
zetigrek 27 May 2010 #12And any other nationality you can think of:)We have lots of Ukrainians if you mean work imigartion.hague1cmaeron if you want to work in Poland you are always welcome.

nierozumiem 9 | 118 27 May 2010 #15From a bit of Googling:According to US State Department numbers, from 1999, there were 39,300 US Citizens living in Poland.According to the 2002 Polish census there were 1,541 "ethnic Americans" living in Poland. Another website, refering to the same 2002 census, puts the total number of US Citizens living in Poland at about 30,000 dual US-Polish citizens, and 1000 US Citizens.I suppose that there are several ways to interpert this information.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_census_of_2002

convex 20 | 3,928 27 May 2010 #17Soldiers and their dependents aren't residents. And there aren't many soldiers stationed here. I'm guessing most Americans living here also have a Polish passport and are not reported.

milky 13 | 1,656 14 Oct 2010 #24On Polish news today, there a worries for the future employment of teachers due to the shrinking population. In the last 10 years alone Poland has a million less children. Looks like Poland better get its act together or it will be in the sh1t in the near future.
1jola 14 | 1,879 14 Oct 2010 #25Looks like Poland better get its act together or it will be in the sh1t in the near future. The current government is - raising taxes, taking away tax breaks, next year you will work a week more!, and they just won the war on drugs. President Komorowski's chancellery has 80 cars.

southern 74 | 7,074 14 Oct 2010 #27Since polish girls shag around with Arabs and Blacks it comes as no surprise.
Filios1 8 | 1,336 14 Oct 2010 #28I can attest to that. Polish girls are probably the biggest ****** on the face of the planet, the way they go around with the 3rd world scum that travels to Poland. It's embarassing, and I'm not even fully Polish. Even Czech prostitutes have more class and dignity than some of the "intelligent university-going" Polish girls I come into contact with.
