Hi,
Is it possible to remove cat's nails by surgery in hospital in Poland? I have a cat,but she's scratching wall papers around, destroying. In Japan, the surgery is available, completely legal. How about Poland and how much it will cost if possible?

It is banned in many European countries, but I can't find anything particularly relating to Poland.
It's not just a question of removing the nails, the last bone in each 'toe' has to be amputated.
It seems really cruel and totally unnecessary.
Buy a scratching post for your cat to scratch it's claws on instead.
Even if it's legal in Poland, you might find that vets are unwilling to perform an operation like this.
Have a read of this :- peta.org/living/companion-animals/8-reasons-never-declaw-cats/

Please give your cat to someone who respects animals. No Polish vet will mutilate a cat in this way.

They might, if you pay them enough....

I hope no vet agrees to such an "operation". Cats scratch, that's normal - either learn t olive with this, or give your cat to someone who actually likes animals. As far as I can see, it's illegal in Poland.

Shizuka, just because something is legal, it doesn't make it right. I'll make the same offer Dolno made. I'm in the east. Give the cat a break.

Declawing a cat in the U.S. is quite popular.
My neighbor took his in to have it done and at the same time had the cat castrated.
I told him that he should have had the vet remove the cats stomach at the same time so he wouldn't have to feed it.

Great news. I'm so glad the comments gave you paws for thought. Get some tree bark and attach it to a verticle pipe or table leg. Your cat will enjoy scratching that more than the wallpaper.
