Because they think (probably due to previous experience) that your presence won't add enough value to the club. That you'll hit on women in an aggressive way that will scare them off.

Getting women in the door is an unending struggle for nightclubs (why many places let women in free and/or give them a free drink). Just a couple of guys from a minority group who hit on women in an aggressive way (and/or get angry when told to cool it) can spoil things for the more decent members of that group. That's just the way it is. If it's racism then Noticing Patterns is racism.

I was with my girlfriend when they prevented me from entering the club :) so if it was about the girl, i had one and of course if you're having a girl with you, probably you will buy her some drinks and stuff. So are you sure it wasn't about Racism?? Because i dont find any other excuse for what happened

The EU is just a union, it doesn't mean, by any way, that Poland stopped existing. And since PiS have a much more strong instance than the pussies of PO, if EU bothers them, they can show easily a finger to Merkel.

And that's what i do :) i didnt say that i get into a fights with poles. All i was wondering about, why would they make such jokes on someone for no reason and that's it. It's all about manners in my opinion. If they were taught to mind their own business, life would be more peacful

Clubs want unaccompanied women. They work carefully to create the image that women can have fun if they come with their female friends (in order to draw men to buy them drinks) and women with male company are of lesser value and non-western men are box office poison (to their way of thinking).


Oh yeah, but in the grand scale of things it's probably not getting too worked up about.

by the way! I didn't say that they make a joke ''With'' me. I said they make bad jokes ''On'' me. I hope you know the difference. If someone comes with a smile and throw a joke i can keep following but when someone ''insult'' you for the meaning to make you humilated, then i cannot take it as a joke

to be honest Jose, in any country night club bouncers love finding reasons to not let people in. It is their little bit of power. Especially crappy little clubs in provincial towns.

Wrong kind of shoes, wrong kind of jeans, an offensive hat, I have heard it all. And I am a white woman.
I really wouldnt put this one down to racism but to hanging about in rubbish places. Trust me.

Plenty of multicultural countries around. You chose Poland knowing it is monocultural and homogenous before and then REFUSE to adapt? Are you a Muslim by any chance?

Yeah i figured that out. But when one of these bouncers stopped me, he was talking about my black hair and eyes not about my shoes or jeans....

hmm that does sound annoying and yes rather racist.
but then a woman might get turned away with an insulting comment because she has short hair and is not 'feminine' enough.
That is called 'sexism' and women have to put up with it every day of their lives.
We are not going to lie down and cry about it, as that would be a waste of energy.

Why people want so much to force multiculturalism (a FAILED experiment) on Poland?

If someone goes to Poland and is not Polish (like me when i lived there) he should accept, assimilate and respect Polish culture as the dominant and prevalent culture in Poland.

Otherwise he can choose some "multicultural" places like... Paris? ;)

man you're killing me. Tell me more about this FAILED experiment called multiculturalism. So Germany which has expats from ALL over the world is a failure country?? too bad, they only have the greatest Economy in Europe. Or maybe you can tell me about this Failure country called Great Britan? With their currency being the greatest in the whole world and there's millions of Arabs, Asian and African in it. Think about it for a moment! Poland is only for poles and what did they do to their country?? is poland a rich country?? is poland more developed than the western ( Failed) countries?? If Yes, then why the polish immigration is the highest in Europe :) You really need to educate yourself better than that

Of course Not :) and yes i do think about discrimination here and how a lot of women get treated. In fact, i made an article about it after seeing horrible scenes in front of eyes like 2 men beating up a woman in the steet with bottles of alcohol. the problem is it happens here quite a lot to see men hitting and insulting women in public like this. in my country, such things would never happen :)

I would say that things weren't that bad in Poland until the refugees crisis, that made people edgier, me and my friends got approached several times, but it usually ends in a discussion and not in fighting.. still some people have been attacked in Poznan, even one argentinian guy was punched in the face for no reason.


Well, My brother lives in £ódź, and I have been there too, the stories i've heard from him are endless, the most violent one was when 3 skinheads entered a bar that is owned by an iraqi and they destroyed everything and started attacking random people.

My brother was also attacked for no reason on several occasions.

As for the clubs, I don't know how it works in Wroclaw, but in Poznan nearly no one gets rejected, unless you're wearing shorts, then some clubs might reject you.

Be glad that they outed themselves as racists so that you can avoid adding to their profit margins!

I think i know my country where i lived all my life in a little bit better than any statistics. I was also reading some stories about racism in poland before coming here but i didnt believe everything and i didnt want to judge before living and interacting with the polish society. So have you ever been to North African countries?

Same here in Wroclaw but the difference is, people are more aggresive. We get approached a lot but usually it ends up getting attacked or insulted.

I dont really see places like Egypt or Algeria or even Tunisia as good holiday destinations for any Western woman with more than half a brain tbh...:)

Yes I am :) and i don't judge ofc. Usually the people who work in sharm are from the countryside but people from big cities, don't care or judge at all. Where are you from btw?

That type of place (Sharm-el-Sheikh) is not my cup of tea, but it's not in Egypt is it? It's like a state within a state. Anything goes, for euros, and surely you knew what to expect? It's for a certain type of holiday. For instance, when I was young I never went to Ibiza because I hated all that 18-30s nonsense.

If you don't like it, don't go. And the OP came here and is finding things hard, Of course, as another poster said he can try to complain through legal channels, but good luck with that one.

I am a sensitive soul and simply wouldn't want to come here if I was a black African. Some rise above all that, but I am affected by my environment and would get riled. But The OP is here and shouldn't have to put up with this slanderous suggestion of "You are African and clubs don't want your sort....."

Under European regulations - and yes, Poland is part of the Union and European discrimination laws very much apply, whether the PF racist rednecks like it or not - the OP has the right to gain access to anywhere free of hindrance based on his ethinicity. If he can prove that they, the bouncers, made a choice based on his race, then he has a case.

If he rants and offers to box them then he would have a problem. Instead I would suggest that he carry a hidden camera and post racism up on the web and let the world see the truth of the matter.

I don't blame Poles for their insular ways, its bred into them by earlier generations and its just learnt behaviour. I went to school in England with people from all over the world, but, the pupils in my school were generally on the whole white and English. But, unlike you and your countrymen, I didn't stare at someone who was black, brown or yellow when I did see " difference ".

Hopefully all the money from the EU including black, brown and yellow tax money will eventually lead to the children of all Polish EU citizens being taught that, you to them,are like them to you, something different. They just have more culture and depth than the average Pole and choose not to stare and point. Hopefully the money from these tax payers can lead to the youth being educated open and more cultured and civilised than previous mono cultured, closed generations like your own.

Well that's kinda stereotyping. I lived all my life in my country and i've never seen any guy shouting or hitting a woman like what i saw here in poland. Every country has its own problem for sure. But you cannot say that all '' Egyptian Men'' treat their woman in a bad way. Believe it or not, but in my family for example, we don't sit before our women. Even the ones who have been married for 10 years, the man doesnt sit before his woman and still open the door of the car for her. and i've met a lot of men doing the same and even better. In your country do you do that as well?
