A relationship has ended and I'd like a little help.
Can anyone help me with a translation, please.
"Thank you so much for some wonderful moments during the last six months. You will always be in my heart. I am sorry it has ended so suddenly. I wish we had one more meeting to tell you how much you have meant to me. Love always."

You restore my faith in Polish Forum. I quoted a poem posted on here which brought about the end of this relationship. Unfortunately it was obscene. Lots of fun for the guy who posted it I'm sure. I hope no one else made the same mistake as I.

Always wait for a second opinion.

I've said before that trusted translators should be given a title. Then everything would be OK.

just one poem ruined the whole relationship?
I don`t know but I think everyone makes mistakes and should be given a second chance

Didn't you explain that a guy on here had given you the poem..?
And that you thought you could trust him.??
And you didnt know what it meant. Or you never would have sent it.?

rafaben, I am sorry your relationship ended.

As for the poem, if people don't speak Polish they shouldn't try and send poems or long paragraphs to their loves in Polish. All it means is that you got someone else to translate it (or write it) and I don't think that's romantic at all. You got burned with the poem. Of course, Wroclaw is right, a second opinion wouldn't have gone wrong. Don't be in such a hurry to impress a girl in Polish, learning the language is likely to impress her more :)

I learnt a good lesson with that poem. Of course I had a second chance, she is a very beautiful and considerate woman. I think it sowed seeds of mistrust though. It is difficult when you cannot communicate very clearly. This is why I asked for the translation. I wanted to be sure it said what I meant. Thankfully it might have melted her heart a bit. I am hopeful the signs are good. I will wait and see. If not I have had six superb months and must be grateful.
Thanks to everyone for their comments.
