I could help you out but I live in the US... I know it's more difficult to speak than write, but I'm sure you'll be fine. You can write here, I guess, if you have any questions smile.

Hi ! that's very kind of you!, but my problem is that I miss talking in English- I know - maybe this sounds strange- but it's true smile I had been abroad for 4 monts during the summer and now I don't have anybody just to talk (so that not to forget language) and this is why I'm looking for some Englishmen in Tricity (maybe it's a bit weird option, but hmm.. anyway, it is always good when you have a possibility to meet someone new and interestingsmile )

I know how it is -- after a few months abroad you feel your English talking language skills have really improved, but when you come back to Poland it feels weird to hear Polish speaking people again smile. You start watching English channels only and reading in Polish isn't a pleasure anymore. After a while you conclude you need someone to talk to as you feel your speaking skills diminish. Been there, done that smile.

I would suggest to keep reading in English and watching foreign programs. Also, I THINK someone here was looking for a girl who lives in by the Baltic Sea -- you may want to search the forums.

It is almost impossible to become fluent in any language living in another country. If you really want to learn any language well, there is only one way, move to the country in question and stay there for a few years, if possilbe go to school there. The earlier, the better. I happen to live in Australia and there is a lot of Japanese kids in schools. Many of them come here on therir own, their parents remain at home paying for their stay. You can learn to write and read in your own country, but you will never learn the proper pronounciations, the idioms, and most importantly, the foreign way of thinking. In case you haven't notied, people think in a different way in different countries. There is also a cultural divide that you need to abridge before you can say that you really know the language. It is a long and winding road from exchanging a few pleasantries with foreigners to knowing how to use the foreign language as a tool.

Hi Dorota, too bad I joined this forum too late because I was in Gdynia ( Gdansk & Sopot ) for almost 2 weeks visiting a friend who I met in the Himalayas of Nepal. I could really use some help with basic Polish and could help you you with your English as I use to teach English ( ESL ) in Korea many years ago. I feel guilty I ddin't learn a few basic Polish phrases so today, in Krakow bought an English- Polish dictionary so my Polish friend can enjoy a few laughs when I try to communicate with her in English. Her English was extremelylimited 2 years ago in Nepal even after working in UK but now her English has improved enough for us to have in depth conversations about a variety of topics.

Oh boy! Mr Sunny you need to go back to school again before you can teach someone else.
