Looking to house/flatshare near centre of Krakow

Hi everyone,

I've bought a one way plane ticket to Krakow for 7 Jan. I've been contacting students and others but finding that most don't speak English and since I don't know any Polish (I will be learning) finding a place to live is proving harder than expected.

I'm hoping to stay for 5/6 months and can afford PLN600 a month for a single room near the centre with internet access. I'm happy to share with up to 4 others.

I'm 33 years old, British Chinese/Vietnamese, a struggling actress, part-time English tutor, in Krakow I'll be studying a course online.

I hope someone can help me. Please feel free to email me or call me direct if you do have a spare room.

Thanks

Jessie

Hmm.... would be hard to find 4 roommates, but in Krakow everything's possible (many students there). Good luck..

Would prefer to share with less, but I'd like to be near the centre and yes, thinking of students...

The best place to find what you are after is krakow.gumtree.pl - it is a Polish site but you will find occasionally some listings in English. You need the first listing, "pokoje" (rooms) and then "wynajme" (for rent).

property-krakow.com
poland-mortgage-direct.com
krakow-apartmentz.biz

Thanks Andy : )

Checked it and English listings are rare...just wished I knew some Polish...it's frustrating to see something and vaguely know what is being said and not being able to communicate back...

keep a dictionary at the side of the pc and you'll be find ... :) just have a go and translating and writing something back you may get the sentence constructed in the wrong order but 9 out of 10 times you will be understood and at least its a step in the learning direction to learn a language that you may need some understanding of for when you arrive in Poland :D
