Looking for Olbrys relatives

Looking for Olbrys relatives.Polish decent and was born in Russia. Wojciech & Franciska Olbrys lived

I'm sure there are alot of them, but, here goes...... my Mom's maiden name is Olbrys. Now I know this isn't the original spelling of the name. It was changed when they got to the USA. I have seen my great grandfather's last name spelled Olbrych, Olbrich, and Olbrick and Olbrysz. I have no clue what the "real" name is. Anyone have any ideas?

Is that born in Russia or at a time of Polish partition ? many people left Poland with place of origin: Prussia, Germany, Austria etc.

Dates are important here.

What city/town/place do you think your family came from ?

The most I know is that my Great Grandfather, Adam Olbrys (olbrich) came to the USA in 1906. The passenger records state that his ethnicity is Russia, Polish and that his place of residence was Gousk, Russia. I don't know where Gousk is. Do you? Adam's wife was Franciszka Climfiski (klimfiski, klimeski, klemishewski, I don't know the correct spelling). They settled in Boston, Massachusetts.

I checked the shipping records and there are a few people from Gousk. So the spelling is good. I just can't find it on a map yet. I will find it though, but not today.

My bet would be this one: Olbrych (80%) or Olbrysz (20%). Olbrich and Olbrick sound more German, not Polish.

I had planned to visit my great aunt, Josephine, today, but I got side tracked. I was going to ask her questions about the spelling of some of the names. Then I realized, she's on the Lithuanian (Pigaga) side, not the Polish side. I get sooooooo confused. Of course, I'm sure Vilnuis was part of Poland once or twice over the years.

Klimaszewski. I found the info on my Great Grandmother. The passenger records give her names a Franciszka Klimaszewski. Her ethnicity is given as Russia Polish. And lists her last place of residence as Krecinny, Russia. Any idea where Krecinny might be?
