Can anyone help in my search for work in gdansk/gdynia. I am an electrical maintenance engineer and would ideally like to work in some sort of manufacturing environment. Does anyone know of how to take this forward? thanks in advance

Hi Chub - I know some guys that went over from Scotland on a short term, 3 month contract they were fabricators and welders working in Invergordon and got sent to Gdansk by their company.
I will ask around but due to the nature of their work I might not see them for a while.
What about offshore ? You could work in the North Sea and it doesn't really matter where you are based. Poland or Scotland.

Polish shipyards are winning the contracts but may not have the experience that the yards in the North of Scotland had. Therefore they are willing to get this via agency workers.

Chubchub - the boys went over with Rigblast, formerly MacGregors. My mate says try global offshore or an agency called ISL - sorry I dont have links.
Remember, if you want to work offshore you will need your RGIT offshore survival cert which will cost you unless you can get a company to sponsor you.
