The lost city of Klebel.

according to the Versailles Treaty link: ednet.rvc.cc.il.us/~PeterR/IR/docs/Versai.htm if you look at 7. with Poland. You will see the city named Klebel.

But upon looking at a map of Posen link: man.poznan.pl/~bielecki/images/posen.gif you can clearly see that the city defined in the Versailles Treaty is Kiebel NOT Klebel.

Can any Polish history masters shed some more light on this? Did they have a typo in the Treaty of Versailles or what happened?

PS: you must add the ww for the links to work

I figured you guys wouldn't know Klebel, because I've looked at so many maps of pre-WWI and I can't find it, the only city I could find was Kiebel. I know you people have heard of that city. Quit playing stupid with me. I thought I could come here for help. Is it just me or did you guys even hear about the Berlin Wall falling? hmmmm.

Sorry if I offended anybody, but this is MY Family's history, it means just as much as your Polish roots. But what exactly is Polish or German for that matter. Think about it.

I personally haven't. The name doesn't sound Polish, or could no longer be in use for any locality on Polish territories.

This forum, like most other out there, come with no guarantees. Your rudness certainly won't help you in your research.

It's you.

Look little fvck, Berlin Wall fell in Gdansk, long before East Germans had the guts to do the physical demolition. So yes, we all heard about it.

Btw. I found some mentions of Klebel. If I could do it in about 10 minutes than I wonder what the hell have you been doing all those months. Playing stupid with us?

Oh, and in case you wonder - no, I don't feel like googling for you. Do your own homework and don't count on help when you offend people.

mklebel,

We are not here to pander to your needs. We help where we can.
The article explains exactly where Klebel is, even if the spelling doesn't suit your needs.

Now go to 'JewishGen' for alternative spellings.

Alright, once again very sorry for being rude. I really mean that. I didn't mean to start a riot, I just tried to get some attention, which I now regret doing. I can still sense some hostility in the Polish-German territory, so I will just part my ways and never come back here. You guys answered everything I need to know.

All I have to say is, I am Roman Catholic not Jewish, as far as I know. I think you should really think about what America was founded for, it wasn't about World Domination or anything like that, just personal freedom. Imagine how many other Americans are trying to figure out where they came from. I am just lucky enough to have a family that took precise documentation of our Family. There are plenty of lost souls in America. I am just lucky enough to have the Freedom of Religion.

All I really wanted to know is when the Polish took over, did they destroy the documentation, or what happened to it. I know it really doesn't matter when it comes down to it, but once again sorry for my curiosity, and my rudeness. This time of the year causes people to go a little crazy here in the states, including myself. There have been 2 churches shot up and 1 mall in the past 4 days. Thank God it's not in the state I live in.

The funny thing is, I still have no idea what you guys are ******** about, is there something Polish-Germans know that Americans don't? Shed some light please, this is what the Internet is for.

May Peace Be With All of You.

You are messed up. First you come on and ask a question, then you insult everyone when they can't do your research for you, and you act like a prick again, and end off with May Peace Be With All of You?
