As a polish muslim who reverted to Islam I am not surprised to read all the horrible replies by polish people about islam religion. To say that change of religion is an act of treason towards poland and that wearing a hijab is an act of slavery thats just stupid and it makes no sense whatsoever. Im also not surprise to read that so many of you simply tries to make fun of muslims and see them as dangerous terrorists. Polish people are very judgmental and closed minded and very little tolerant to other religions. And I am very sorry for saying that but thats the honest truth. I am Polish and Im shocked to learn what people think about us around the world... before all you smart people start having an opinion about something you have absolutely no idea about get information first from a reliable sources. Hijab for a women is a personal choice and no one can force a women to wear one. However there are many cultural rules for women that they must follow but that has absolutely nothing to do with religion. DONT MIX RELIGION WITH A CULTURE. True muslim men know that he is equal to a woman in the eyes of Allah and that she is the one that makes an ultimate decision regarding her clothing and she will be judged for it. It breaks my heart that so many of you simply dont understands Islam and I feel sorry for you because at the end all you have left is making fun of others covering up your own imperfections.

WULKAN....In the Quran God makes it very clear that men and women are equal.

[3:195] Their Lord responded to them: "I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you male or female - you are equal to one another. Thus, those who immigrate, and get evicted from their homes, and are persecuted because of Me, and fight and get killed, I will surely remit their sins and admit them into gardens with flowing streams." Such is the reward from GOD. GOD possesses the ultimate reward.

And it is respected if you are a TRUE MUSLIM like I wrote before and it is being practiced in many muslim families. If you love and fear God you are a religious person you know that. the problem is that many cultural customs are being reinforced on women in many countries that have nothing to do with a religion but I also wrote that before.

We had great Muslim friends in Saudi Arabia, but some of the things they would say and do were so hard to believe. Islam and Western thinking are difficult to mix.

No, it means that ppl from both cultures should know and accept what they are doing when they move. If you move you can keep parts of your culture but you have to accept the laws of your new home. If you don't want to do it- stay where you are. And it includes both parties.

It's pretty sad that people here in Poland are soo racist about muslims. I'm polish and i covered on Islam like one year ago. Coming here in niqab won't feel good but taking it off as some ppl recommend if you wear it everyday would be definitely bad idea.

I just hope one day even poland will understand that we are free and wearing hijab or niqab is jest personal choice :)
