They study in the UK for 10 years, there's a loophole to stay in the UK.

As soon as one get ILR they apply for another family member to come over (there's another one)

They marry (look at the amount of sham marriages and look at the names of those being charged (there's another one)

They fake qualifications and bank accounts to make themselves look good to get visas (there's another one)

They have the most immigration facilities in the UK (bogus at the least - there's another one)

Of course they are leaving in droves. Indian Institute of Technology is among the hardest universities to be accepted to. Many of India's sectors (technology, healthcare etc.) are incredibly strong and with a population as big as India's it is no wonder they would like to move to a less competetive nation. That is one reason, of course.

The other being that the level of poverty is quite high in India...
