He's just not into you. Get over yourself.

Amen. The only sensible 'advice' on this thread.
The guy sounds like a bit of a wuss anyway, making all those improbable excuses.

Can anyone help me suss this out, my head says I should probably ignore him til he comes begging.....but my heart is furious and slightly broken...so be gentle with your comments please!

AnioĊ‚ - I have no idea who this guy is and why he acts the way he does. However, I agree with Ariel's reply below. Many guys don't like to burden their ladies with their problems, especially when the relationship is just beginning. We like to pretend that we're in charge of our lives.

To me he almost sounds like someone still getting over a past relationship? You know, a person really has to like him/herself before allowing others to like him/her... Maybe he's not there yet? Either way, good luck to you...

PS. I'm sure you're being facetious but for someone who 's heart is broken and who needs gentle comments - your own comments aren't that gentle you know...

Happy Birthday then... :)

I'll try to be as gentle as the circumstance allows.

Are all Polish men Psychos?

You are a complete fool for asking this king of question just because some Polish fella isn't sure he's coming or going.

Hope this helps.

Whatever you did he deemed it appropriate to speak his peace at the moment but obviously not serious enough to stay mad at you forever. Bipolar, don’t think so, horny perhaps, nothing better than make up sex.

Here's the cure:

When he walks through the door, greet him with a big LOVING smile and tell him softly how wonderful it is to see him. Don't let a negative word slip from your lips. Treat him like a god the rest of the evening, so much so that he becomes suspicious and asks you, "what's up?."

Tell him that the "up" is his part and the "down" is yours. If at any time he is jaded by something then just tell him that you are there for him and to enjoy the here and now.

I really should write an advice column.

Does it also include bringing him beer and a dinner plate if front of the tv and kissing his feet...?

That's optional but it wouldn't hurt to try. (extra bonus points)
In my case it's wine and of course a fine home-cooked meal. Bringing out the best dinner ware is a good idea too. It's those extra little touches that mean so much.

Are all Polish men Psychos?

Beware of psychos. Never take a shower in the house with a psycho inside.

Maybe he just doesn't like you. Plain and simple. Doesn't want to hurt your feelings.
