Since when you guys believe what monk wrote? From monks we also know that Ivan the Terrible has murdered so many Russians that only Stalin can be compared with his actions. But you don’t seem to be proud of this. I see, that you take from history whatever you need and you like to use it in your own way.

When you read that Stalin murdered over 20 million, there is no point to disagree of course. They are true statistics. And if he murdered 40 million,it would be also true,no doubt.

It is easy for you, isn’t it? Because all witnesses got small bullet hole in back of their heads and they can’t talk. But trust me – Katyn bullets were made in USSR.

Freedom? It is not a question of freedom....or if you want, even not a religious question!!! this is our Byzantinian inheritance, rivalries between Photius, M. Kelulariy with Rome...Forth crusade must be remembered too.

It seems to me russians have a totally different view on freedom than catholics. What is freedom for a russian is torture for a catholic.
Byzantine history is very interesting.Do you know that stuff? You think Kremlin corridors look like labyrinths in Constantinopole palaces?
Fourth crusade was terrible.Crusaders against Christians.
But Russians also attempted to capture Constantinopole, didn't they?
And why did they not send troops to fight the Turks preventing the siege? The Poles sent(but were defeated in Bulgaria).

At this time we were too weak, course we were just from the yoke...so but we had alot of wars with osmans...and at 18 cent. we gave independence to Greeks and in 19-th to Bulgary, Romania, Serbia... Catherine II had two grandsons, Alexander and Constantine...Alexander was a Russian tsar but why Constantine was named Constantine? Because Greeks have a legend that after the death of last emperor Constantine XI and fall of Constantinopol, the next Romeion (Greek) Emp. will have the name Constantine, who will released Constantinopol from Turks...So Constantine was intended for Greek trone...

I am proud to be Polish because the Polish are stubborn and strong. That is the only reason the country and language survived. No matter what they would not let their identity be taken from this. I learned this from my grandmother who came to the US to send money back to Poland before the depression. Only I just realized it in the last 10 years. I have been to Poland only once, for three weeks, and I cried the whole time. I was there during communist rule and it was sad to see what everyone had been through and were still going through, and how strong they were. I am proud of being Polish.

I m very proud I m Polish.

We have never been broken, We never accepted Russian/German occupation. We speak our language, we have our culture, and we are independent again.

Yes they conquered us in the past , but we should notice some other facts.
