Often, and unfortunately, someone would try to tell me a Polish joke....
This happens alot less often, now. Mainly, my work ethic and IQ have discouraged it. Still in all, I do have a sense of humor, if something is truely funny.
I am glad to have found a site for Poles and Polish Americans like myself to share
ideas.
Love, Hope and Peace to you,
Margaret (aka Małgosia or Małgozata)

Oh, in that case, it's okay the way it is.
I am starting to notice that no one seems to provide a photo here anyway.

I was born in Poland in Krynica..
and have always loved dogs and cats and all animals .
I have a toddler photo of myself when I wandered into a pack of these animals.
They were very gentle and I didn't get hurt. My mother and babcia were very upset, though......And that is the only description I have, also.....Polish sheepdog.

I haven't been back. But if I ever can go...
I would fly to Cracow, and then look for the mountains,to the southeast,
and in the foothills, there is a town named Krynica.
In the past, it was a health resort of sorts.
Most probably whenever I retire I will visit.

Are you enjoying Poland? Your location is unfamiliar to me,
but with googleearth, we can find anywhere!

ps I have just found the dogs.
They are an actual breed called the Polish Tatra Sheepdogs or Podhalanski.
What a wonderful animal.

Thank you EbonyandBath, and London Chick, and WildRover.

Wildrover,
You are right about winters. I have been spoiled by this mild climate.
But who is to say that once I visit, all that will be just trivail.
Take Care,
Margaret

might've been just a typo, forgetting to put the "r" after the "z" ;).

do you mean an avatar, or photos on your profile? when you go to the uploading window, it tells you what the maximum size and dimentions are required. you might have the file size right, but check the width and length too.

and most of all, welcome ;)

i tried the same excuse when i was at basic school while grammar 'dictando'. did not help ;p.

if problem with photo: try with .jpg type, and less then 40 kb. if your picture is larger than 40 kilobytes than you have to make it smaller with use of any graphic software.

Thank you, PrzemekE, JustysiaS, and Goonie,
Thank you for the "hellos" and the good advice.
Since I am far from anyone that speaks Polish, I need advice.
During my childhood years, I resided in a Polish Catholic community in Canden New Jersey. Thereby, I retained the ability to speak and understand Polish. The Catholic school nuns at St. Joseph's Grammer School were memerable, some for good and some for bad reasons.
My parents sent me to the Polsh American Citizens Club on Saturday mornings to learn to read and write Polish. Since I haven't praticed. I don't remeber how.
Surprisinglly enough, my Polish teacher was named Mr. Lux. He was an eldery bald German man with the index finger on his right hand appartently cut to shorten. Go figure.
When I attended Saint Joseph High Scool, Herr Lux was my German and Drafting teacher. He called us ":my little darlings". He was kind but strict.
Growing up in a Polish community , everyone was "Pan" or "Pani"....everything was done according to traditions,
Now, I live here in North Carolina because of my work. I have a 24 year old son who married a stucent on a visa from Ufa, Russia. I love my daughter-in-law. She is family oriented, and practices the tradions of the Orthodox faith. She is one of the kindest people that I know.
Isn't it amasing that people are most of the time good, but how politics divides and creates prejudice.
Good Morning and Good day to you all,
God Bless All,
MałgoĽata

Hi Malgozata,
Your from NC near Morehead City down at the coast. I'm from King, NC on the other side. Always went on vacation to Wilmington , Holden's beach in NC and Mertle Beach alot. My dad always went on a fishing trip every year for a week at Morehead City.

Hi Angel,
Yes. North Carolina has beautiful beaches that are used to fish all year long. I have lived here for almost thirty years. It has recently caught the attention of both retirees and tourists.
I will probably not retire here.... annot decide where right now though.
How are you enjoying your stay in Poland?
