Ie. in Belfast they can burn you car or even whole flat while you sleep inside.

it might be worth remembering that belfast is a city with a history of division and conflict... much of it based on religion... one of which is associated with poland...

Hey thanks BubbaWoo and Lady in Red .....for trying to put the record straight on Belfast....Its a great place to live. Yes we have a few rough neighbourhoods, that some trouble has happened in, but every city in the world has those. The vast majority of Polish people have never seen or experience trouble here, you just have to be a little street wise and stay away from the 2 or 3 bad areas and don’t live in the very very cheap rented accommodation there, (its cheap for one reason because no one wants to live there)

manchester is a fantastic city....very multicultural now. i am english myself but have quite a few polish friends through the pubs/clubs i goto. i prefer the european places anyway.

if you want to feel at home i recommend the czech bar on booth street (near the manchester universitys) very mixed crowd of polish, czech and serbian people. very busy too. also partys at the attic and joshua brooks are the best (less pretentious with people just doing whats important, having fun!)

hope this helps a little.

I totally agree.Belfast had a civil war and still suffers from some hangovers from those times (hostility to outsiders etc).No way can you compare Manchester and many other places to N.Ireland.
