Hi. I am a student at UNC-Charlotte in North Carolina, USA and i am currently in an international marketing class. We would like to market the George Foreman grill to Poland. I have a few questions that i would like to ask about the living style of the Polish people.

1) Is George Foreman grills or any type of personal indoor grills available in Poland?

2) What is the Polish word for that type of grill?

3) What does the typical Polish kitchen look like? Plenty of counter space?

4) Does Polish people value time consuming appliances or do they prefer cooking thier meals the traditional way?

5) If there isn't any indoor type grill for sale in Poland, is it desireable?

6) If we were to market the George Foreman grill, would the Polish population want to see a Polish person endorsing or will they be open to seeing George foreman endorsing it since it is his product?

please answer as much of the questions as you can. anything will help greatly in our project and presentation. thank you again!

UNC I think you have a great potential money maker there.

As gregorsz said counter space is very limited and the older generation does seem to shun things like microwaves etc but the young generation is just as lazy as us Americans and LOVE anything that is A) Fast and easy B) Imported and C) That most people don't have (so they can feel cooler than their friends)

There are loads of things here that are priced twice as much as in the states and they pay it happily...I just don't get it. An example is Kitchenaid stuff....they pay 2 or 3 times the US price for this stuff because it is 'special' and somehow elevates their status to own it even though there are equal and even better European alternatives much cheaper.

It is funny to watch someone come into a flat and see a US brand of something stupid like a blender and they get all creamy. Very materialistic younger people (and I mean 35 or so and under) here....which is a marketer's dream.

You would just have to be aware of your demographic.

In addition import fees and regs are maddening here so research it thoroughly...everyone that touches it thinks they deserve a profit.

i have seen these types of grills quite often, people in Poland most often use them for making toasted sandwiches, the best of which come dripping with goooey cheese.

I couldnt live without mine - they have heaven sent and also the beauty of these things is you dont have to have a huge kitchen because you can just put it away in the cupboard when you have finished!

The Foreman grill is a good product but the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie is better:)

They have got these for sale in my local supermarket and in the big tescos (I was thinking of buying one, being british i couldn't afford to include my george forman into my measly 18kg luggage!).Maybe the Polish don't have george forman grills, but they have other makes of the same thing and they're not too expensive. I have to ask - how popular are they though?? Microwaves aren't as popular in Poland as in the UK for example.

thank you guys so much for answering my questions.

since Polish are opposed to George Foreman, do you think that an electric grill with another name is better?

Marketing is certainly a great business concentration. You have a broad area of interesting career choices available. I have a business degree, with a concentration in Marketing.

I think a name change for the grill may be a good marketing strategy, for promoting the item within Poland. You and your classmates could brainstorm for a more creative new name.
