Perhaps it's how one perceives it. There are many muslims who don't interpret the Koran in this way. Maybe you're the one that also has extremest thoughts when you read it :)
Who's culture would you like them to stay away from? Are you American?
Let me put it different. Does any other big religious book state hateful thoughts against everybody except their own belief?
Does not the world try not to say to loud that it is wrong. Does not Saudi Arabia with Mekka forbid a lot of freedom rights including other religions in the name of Islam? Are they now as well reading the Koran as a extremist? So could we conclude the whole gulf region is contaminated? No, I do not state as such, but implying it is in the mind of the reader how to see the words is just weak. It states in writing and very loud and clear a lot of hateful and bad things. And of course mostly good things.......
Now for your question: Islam should stay away from all cultures and do not interfere in their business. Remeber, Saudi Arabia, you think they allow it?
And no I am not an American. I can write and read so that would exclude me from that nationality.
