I heard a saying many years ago - evil thinkers evil doers - so like most have said - he's blaming you for his actions...hard to do but ask him to leave, ensure you have a friend there (one that can take care of himself that is) lifes to short to walk on egg shells.

Then you could ask Mr F over - half greek half polish, hmm nice combo

Urszula;
This is really sad. You are getting a lot of advice on here. But it is you to have to make that decision.
Do you want to go through the rest of your life like this????
LIFE IS TOO SHORT AND YOU ARE HALF WAY THERE.
Hell! 41 yrs old. shucks , you are in the prime of your life.. ENJOY,WHAT TIME YOU HAVE LEFT.
